We had a great one month stay at Brian and Leah's apt. It is right where all the action is in the Mission District but is still quiet enough to sleep. We explored all of SF from here using the Bart , buses and uber. No need for a vehicle. The apartment is comfortable and well equipped. It's a great location to explore San Francisco
This is a nice sized apartment in the mission. Between mission and valencia streets, the location is very good. Be aware that although valencia is "hip" and gentrified, mission is not.
We stayed in this apartment for 4 months. The furnishings were quite comfortable. There is a washer/dryer outside, and a full kitchen. There is no parking, street parking only. If you are on holiday, you definitely don't need a car for this location.
This was a very cute apartment for our stay in San Francisco. Brian and Leah sent us all of the information we needed to get into the place easily. It was clean, and they even had a binder with a guide to local sights and amenities like grocery stores and restaurants. The neighborhood wasn't where we spent most of our time, unfortunately, but we came during a very busy time for hotels in San Francisco and this was a perfect alternative place to stay.
Brian and Leah's place was just perfect about for or trip. GREAT location in the mission meant you could get around town quickly or walk to any of the many local bars, restaurants or shops. The place had everything you could need and a comfortable bed and living room to top it off. Thanks for a great stay.
We enjoyed staying at Brian & Leah's place. I hadn't planned to spend much time there and mainly chose it for the location, but then my son (16 months) got sick and we ended up spending the majority of our time there. I'm really glad we chose their place for both the location and the space.
The bedroom was comfy and cozy, enough space for our clothes in the dresser and closet. Brian & Leah provided a Pack n Play that just fit in the bedroom and was great for our sonThe living room was a nice size, good TV with lots of channels. The kitchen was also great! Would be perfect for someone who loved to cook. Bathroom was nice, good water pressure and enough hot water for us both to shower.
The heater in the living room kept the main rooms warm and there was a space heater in the bedroom, but we didn't really need it. We did have to call Brian because the pilot light was out, but that was an easy fix.
The location is great, very close to the BART and on several bus lines. Some reviews said they didn't feel safe on Mission St, but I wonder if those folks were not comfortable in big cities in general. I walked down Mission most of the time with my son and didn't have any problems. Valencia is more hip and gentrified, so walk down that st. if you feel more comfortable. For a city location the apt was surprisingly quiet! Even with the bedroom facing the street I was not bothered by noise at all. I rarely heard the neighbors and they said they did not hear my son crying late at night (again, he was sick). There are tons of great restaurants and cafes. Brian & Leah provided a list, but I just set out on foot to explore the area and had some of the best tamales, coffee, and pastry (La Tartine) I'd had in a long time. We shopped at the Asian market down the street for what we needed for the week-try their Bahn Mi-excellent!
Great location in the up and coming Mission district. Valencia street has everything you need; great restaurants, cafés and shopping. The apartment was very clean and perfect for 2 to 3 people. Brian was quick to help with the main door lock issue. We used the washer and dryer and the nice backyard area as well. The photo's matched what get. Would not recommend this area (Mission) if you have kids.
Clean, convenient, and wonderfully located apartment in the Mission District. Brian and Leah were very accommodating and welcome. I highly recommend this apartment as a home base for all your San Francisco adventures.
