Wilderness to explore!

The space
The Boathouse is an exceptional 3-acre waterfront property nestled among towering pines in a classic northern landscape on the western shore of beautiful Lake Vermilion just outside of Cook, Minnesota. This comfortable upscale property features plenty of space to relax or play with six bedrooms each with private bathrooms in the 3800 square foot house, four decks overlooking the lake, a large dock, and remodeled kitchen. The Boathouse is named for the unique featured centerpiece in the great room: a 32-foot vintage 1923 wooden boat surrounded by a hand painted mural by local artist Nancy Luloff!

This property is open year-round. Ideal for groups of 2 to 12, family reunions and corporate retreats. We look forward to hosting you and Matt will stop in to say hi during the first day or two of your stay.

Updates in 2021 regarding previous negative reviews: The plumbing is fixed! The specific pipe problem that previously caused a bad smell has been repaired and the cabin has been  professionally cleaned and sanitized. Water should be used sparingly and showers should be short and spread out to maximize the hot water use.
