Pulito, accogliente, spazioso, ben organizzato. Asciugamani e coperte a disposizione.
Alberi in fiore, piante aromatiche, verde ovunque.
Grazie Francesco, siamo stati benissimo e torneremo presto.
We had a great stay at agriturismo le spighe. We were welcome by Francesco's father and slightly later Frnacesco came with a small gift. He provided us with information and help.
we really enjoyed our conversation with him and the pleasure to have met his family.
I recommend this place for all those who want a genuine , beautiful and rustic place to stay and enjoy nature.
Francesco is a very very sweet host, very welcoming and generous! The place is cosy, clean and has everything you need! We got a bit lost on our way to the place and arriving after sunset makes it quite difficult to see it! Francesco saw us going by and place and came to get us at the restaurant nearby where we went to ask for directions! We where very surprised and happy to see him there! He was very patient, for we arrived later than we had planned and was still very very welcoming and nice! Thanks again for everything!
From the moment we arrived it was like being with family Francesco and his father welcomed us with open arms, gifts of home made wine, food and plenty of information about the area.
The cottage is very clean and cosy. Francesco provided us with plenty of woods for the fire place to keep us warm and toasty on cold December days. He also collected some fruit from his orchard. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Le Spigne and has no hesitation to recommend to anyone. Thank you Francesco for making our visit to Tuscany very (website hidden) from Sydney
There is so much to say about our time in Francesco's Cottage. It was absolutely perfect!
Francesco made us feel like family from the moment we got there - he gave us a bottle of wine and his parents had even made us a welcome cake.
The place is itself was very large - we had a lounge room, 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and bathroom in the cottage. But the best feature was the fireplace which we used every night.
We took up all the advice from Francesco about where to go in the area - including wine bars, restaurants and hot springs (which we HIGHLY recommend).
We want to say a huge thank you to Francesco and his family for having us and we can't wait to visit you again.
Francesco's accommodation is excellent! He is charming, has good communication skills with English speakers and very helpful. Four of us had a great stay here. It was most comfortable and so peaceful. The emails and texts were prompt and efficient. This accommodation is highly recommended.
Thank you for a wonderful time at you beautiful stone cottage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the warmth and friendly welcome was just great, especially the tart your Dad left for our arrival, yum. You supplied so much information on your area that lead us to parts I am sure the usual tourist would not have discovered, big plus for the hot pools. I highly recommend Le Spighe to anyone who is looking for a great cultural experience in a beautiful location.

We had the best time at Franceso's property, it is everything that you see in the pics and more. The property has teh charm as soon as you get off the road towards the property, the farmhouse itself is beutiful and very nicely kept. His family was very welcoming, we loved the pie they gave us when we got there and Francesco took the time to take us around and propety. Only regret - we only stayed for a day
Le Spighe was such a drastic change from the hustle of the city. Wonderfully quiet and tucked away in the middle of beauty. A lovely stone cottage. We were welcomed with a home made pie. Francesco was very responsive and good about anything we asked or needed. He booked a fabulous cooking session for us. Was such an experience. We drove from Florence. An amazing drive. The surrounding is very beautiful. A wonderful stay for us.
Francesco is a wonderful host and his cottages at Le Spighe are located in a beautiful and charming part of the countryside.
Even though we got delayed and our arrival was two hours later than initially stated, Francesco was around waiting for us, and even drove out to "rescue" us when we got a little lost as it was already dark then.
He also provided us with maps and detailed directions as to how to get to his cottages, as well as directions to nearby eating places, and he also made the effort to meet us back at the cottages on our last day to have a chat, as well so to bid us farewell.
We also met Francesco's wife and mother, who were both really friendly, and offered us coffee as well as biscuits.
The cottage we stayed in was number 3, and it was comfortable, and it came with heaters so it was not too cold during the chilly night. We could also walk around the farm and pick the walnuts or fruits from the trees around, which included raspberries, apples and pears.
All in all, it was a great experience, and driving through the Tuscan countryside (we arrived from Florence) to get to the cottages was a great experience in itself. Highly recommended!
