Below message is mail to Chris(Host) after trip.
Dear Chris Dre,
Hi, I’m Jiho Yun form Korea(south). I stayed only one night. But…
When I arrived your home in the Vancouver at night. You very kindly told me as like visitor a lot of information, as like the transportation fee, how to go Stanley Park.
It was very nice morning coffee. Thanks a lot~
It was perfect. The room was clean and the bed comfy. Chris was really nice and helpful!
Chris is a great host. Her place was very clean and exactly as shown in the pictures. She was super friendly and helpful. She gave me a good guidance on visiting Vancouver. I would definitely stay at her place next time I visit Vancouver.
Chris communicated well and was very welcoming and eager to help. The accommodation is in the house basement, along with several other rooms that are let out for various terms. It is quite basic but has everything that is needed. The pièce de résistance, in my opinion, is the home's proximity to the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park! Don't miss it! I actually chose it for it's convenience to the Canada Line which, combined with the nearby busses, makes commuting a breeze. Travellers need to be aware that no soap or shampoo is provided for the shower, as sometimes the provision of these is assumed. I appreciated that Chris provided ground coffee, a coffee maker and milk.
My Husband and I went on a last minute trip to Vancouver BC. Chris was a wonderful host! Even though we made the reservation a 1/2 hour before checking in, she was more then accommodating.
I wrote Chris a message before booking to be sure it was alright to book the room (we came into the city at about 8pm due to traffic and crossing the border) and she responded promptly. She provided the information I needed to book and directions. The room was nice and had everything we needed; a comfy bed, private bathroom, a table, Wi-Fi, parking, a kitchen and dining area, and laundry. Our room was at the bottom part of her house, so we had enough privacy and were able to come and go as we please since there is a separate entrance.
There are four bedrooms on the bottom floor and another couple from Engalnd were staying there. It was wonderful to be able to talk with people from another country and their experiences. Overall we had a great time and I would stay again. Thank you Chris!

About the Host, Chris
I have travelled all over the world, and finally decided to make Vancouver + Canada my chosen home.
I TRULY LOVE THIS CITY ...... its natural beauty, the beaches, the mountains, the tree-lined streets, the interesting neighbourhoods, like CAMBIE VILLAGE, COMMERCIAL DRIVE, MAIN STREET, KITSILANO, the old fishing village of STEVESTON, etc..
The city + ocean walks, the cultural offerings, the great restaurants for all tastes + budgets with cuisine from all over the world, the cafes with live music, the spirit of the 'sharing economy', the beautiful parks, like QUEEN ELIZABETH PARK + STANLEY PARK, and many smaller community parks, the BLOEDEL Conservatory, VAN DUSEN GARDENS, the LYNN CANYON SUSPENSION BRIDGE, the VANCOUVER ART GALLERY, the MUSEUM of ANTHROPOLOGY at the UBC campus, etc., etc., ........
and I would be happy to introduce visitors to its many different aspects, and answer any questions you may have.
I truly enjoy helping fellow travellers feel at home by providing
comfortable surroundings, a relaxed, easy-going atmosphere,
and help with TRAVEL INFO + SUGGESTIONS of THINGS TO SEE + DO,
with FINDING PERMANENT HOUSING in Vancouver, if you are new to the CITY and/or the COUNTRY, and if you plan to GET SETTLED here ........
plus answering your QUESTIONS + fulfill reasonable REQUESTS to the best of my ability.
Besides travelling all over the world, and my passion for Canada, for Vancouver, Vancouver Island, the Sunshine Coast + other areas of British Columbia, some of my other interests are:
Neuroscience, depression research + treatment (especially the newer theories), as well as other treatment-resistant health conditions that science + medicine do not yet have good answers for,
brain research, psychology, neurology, evidence-based medicine, injury recovery, concussion recovery //
Healthy nutrition without being too dogmatic about it //
Photography, architecture, design + industrial design, beautiful things //
Entrepreneurship + philanthropy, the 'Sharing Economy', '(website hidden)', treating each other with kindness + respect, interesting + novel ways of creating a good, meaningful life as well as a good income by thinking outside of the box //
Reading, biographies, novels, short stories, science, history, politics, great TV shows + films, geography,
different musical styles ...... especially songs with interesting, intelligent lyrics one can actually understand,
great writing + intelligent conversation, small dinners with good friends (old + new) //
Downhill skiing, ocean kayaking, canoeing, bicycling, swimming (ideally in tropical waters), other forms of physical activities, like walks with great views on beaches, rocky headlands, most islands (tropical + otherwise), houses with ocean views ...... and probably a few more things that I can't think of right now ...... but this list should give you a pretty good idea of what constitutes a good day for me :) ....
Thanks for reading this far :) :)
