A private room with a 5 inches double size futon,
(though, this futon might be hard for people whose back is sensitive, but generally no problem for most people.:) )
with a shared bathroom,
has Wi-Fi, it's on the first floor, so no need to drag your heavy suitcase up down stairs.
the street is quite and safe, the building has it's own washer and dryer, (though we still need to pay, but we don't have to walk far to do the laundry),.
3 minutes walk to M train Seneca Stop, 6 minutes walk to L & M train Myrtle-Wyckoff stop.
the L & M both takes you to central Manhattan in about 20-30 minutes ,
(than depends on where you are going to)
on the M train you can totally enjoy the sky ride, seeing Brooklyn views, it cross the beautiful Brooklyn Bridge, takes you directly to the Central Park, MOMA, China Town, Queens, 5 Pointz (the amazing graffiti scene/blocks/gallery) etc.
the L train connects the most subway lines, hop on the L than very easy to switch to all other lines that you possibly wanna go to, also directly take you to Williamsburg, east village, Chelsea area, famous sky park - The High Line. and Bushwick (new area for underground scene/artists/musicians),
this is a super functional neighborhood, has 24 hours bodegas around. 2 minutes walk to Myrtle Ave that has all kinds of store, you can get everything you possibly need, and many restaurants .
I have blanket ,fresh sheets , pillow, ,towel for you, and will try to provide things you need while your staying.:)
and you will have the apt key so you can in and out as you please, 24 hours!
BTW I am in my early 30 , I am a teacher also make some indie music, my music project related to electro-ethnic-noise. (but don't worry- I won't practice at home!)
my husband makes small fun puppet shows, is an artist love to use recycling materials make puppets. we have a 5 years old, but he is shy when he is around strangers, so he won't bother you basically.:)
no shoes in the house , also please don't forget cleaning yourself after using the bathroom and kitchen, thank you!
Everything was great! Im coming back there in April because I like and higlhy recommended to everyone !!!
Exactly what the listing says, simple futon on the ground in quiet neighborhood in queens. Easy to get to by subway, 25 minutes to Manhattan. Very nice shower, always a plus. And great, accomdating hosts. I'd like to stay here again for sure.
really nice room, great hosts was made to feel really welcome. was no problem my flight arrived late on, really flexible host. cool neighbourhood, nice cheap eats and handy for jfk and connections to Manhattan. Defo stay there again!
Everything was fine, very nice place to stay , friendly owner , close to subway, mcdonalds and shops. It wasnt no problem to left our luggages there during our trip to Canada .Thank u very much! Waiting for our next reservation.
Peaceful and orderly. Exceptionally clean bathroom. Overall comfortable stay and an easygoing host. I had a well rested sleep.
Seriously - this has got to be the best bargain deal in NYC. It's in a safe neighborhood, and it's right by the F train. It's a mattress on the floor, but I thought it was actually pretty comfortable. To get a private room in NYC for this price is crazy. And Yuchen is really, really nice. The other guests in the other spare room that I met (who were traveling from Europe) were also cool. Would totally stay there again!
Yuchen met me at the door, showed me the room, gave me my keys. She is soft-spoken, warm and very nice. The room is exactly as pictured, except now there are some curtains over the windows for privacy. Bed is a mattress topper with a thin futon on it. Since I sleep on extra-firm mattresses I did not find it (website hidden) tray and chair, wi-fi instructions on the tray. The apartment is interesting, looks like a hole was cut into the apartment below, then nicely finished so that it looks like a two-storey home. Yuchen lives below and rents the 3 bedrooms on the top level to airbnbers. One shared bathroom that, during my stay, was usually available because people sleep in later than me and were out much of the day. Quiet. Another kitchen without a microwave but, again, I either cook outright or heat things on low in pans to keep the mic from overcooking them. Cheap restaurants and lots of deli/markets nearby. A few blocks walk from the L or M trains, about 30 minutes into Manhattan. Nice option.
