Open and bright beach home in the desirable Anastasia Island beach, Butler Beach. It's just steps to the dune walkover to our beautiful and quiet beach! Kitchen and baths completely remodeled. Two huge screened porches and large deck for outside activities. The house has two smart televisions--one large in the living room and a smaller tv in one of the upstairs bedrooms.
The space
Fantastic beach-side home! This well cared for home features. The open floor plan features tall ceilings and great flow from the eat-in kitchen to the great room and into the dining area. The master suite features large closet, a large bathroom and there are two wonderful East facing covered porches.
Fully fenced backyard, but be careful with small dogs as the metal fence has 4 inch gaps.
Guest access
Per St Johns County regulations, only ten people are allowed per rental, not counting children 12-years-old or younger. That means this property is allowed up to 10 adults and the rest of the guests must be 12 and under.
Pets and Service Animals: You must let us know if you are bringing an animal to the home, even if it is a service animal! It's important to let the cleaners know. Up to 2 dogs are allowed with a nonrefundable pet fee of $199. They must be less than 50lbs each and no aggressive breeds. NO CATS! Please do not allow your dogs to jump up onto the beds or couches. If the dogs are accustomed to being allowed on the furniture at home, please bring blankets to protect the surfaces. If you forget to bring blankets, let us know and we will provide you with some. If you bring a pet and do not tell us or pay the fee, we will charge your damage deposit for the pet fee plus $100 for the unexpected extra services required to clean the house.
Important info about pool heating and fees: Both the spa and the pool will be at the same temperature if you choose to heat the pool because they share the same plumbing and heater. Most people prefer a heated spa in colder temperatures to a heated pool because the spa is set to 101 degrees and the pool heater would be set to 85 degrees. If the daytime air temp doesn't get above 58 degrees the pool will have a difficult time staying heated. The heating of the spa is included with your stay. If you want to heat the entire pool we have an additional heating fee of $199 plus $25 per night to maintain the temperature. If you arrive at the house and change your mind about the pool heating, the initial heating fee of $199 will not be refunded.
Our pool technician comes on Tuesdays to check the chemicals and Fridays to clean. Our lawn/landscape professional comes on Wednesdays. These dates are subject to change based on weather or other factors, but in general that is when they are scheduled.
We provide 12 bath towels, 6 beach towels, 5 hand towels, 5 washcloths, 1 bath mat (per bathroom), and 2 kitchen towels for our guests. The cleaning company provides a limited amount of basic necessities (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher/laundry soap, etc.) to get you started, you will want to bring some with you. Garbage and recycling must be taken out to the street Sunday night for Monday morning pickup. Please read the house rules.
Other things to note
The history of St. Augustine is incomparable with almost any other on our coast. Founded in 1565 it is chock full of amazing places to visit, from the oldest house to the first schoolroom, to the impenetrable fort built by the Spanish. Lincolnville, just south of downtown St. Augustine takes you on a walking tour of the history of the civil rights movement noting where Martin Luther King stayed on numerous occasions. Needless to say, there’s also so many unique shops, and the restaurants are so varied and truly have an international flavor! There are things to do no matter the weather! You can take a free boat ride to Fort Matanzas and learn the history about the battles fought. Further south is Marineland where you can swim with dolphins!
The St. Augustine and St Johns County area have a great variety of golf courses for players of every level and skill. There are always concerts at St. Augustine Amphitheatre and events at Francis Field as well. You will never run out of things to do here in St. Augustine. It is probably one of the most beautiful places in all of Florida, and for sure one of the most photographed! Come and see for yourself!
