Little Birch Cabin is surround by fantastic scenery and wildlife. We are beside the RSPB Insh Marshes nature reserve and the beautiful Cairngorm mountains. The cabin backs onto a large forest leading into Glenfeshie the Cairngorms and beyond. Red Squirrels, Badgers, Pine martins, Crested Tits and many more are frequent visitors. Loch Insh Watersports is 3 miles away. Highland wildlife park is a superb nearby attraction. It is an ideal location for all nature lovers, walkers and cyclists.

The space
The cabin is set in a natural Birch garden and has ample private parking for several cars. We have recently added a sitting room extension with French doors leading to a seating area. The wood burning stove makes a great addition in the winter months. The garden is a haven for wild life and due to the fact that for many years we have put out feed for the birds, badgers, squirrels and pine martins at the right time of year they can be viewed and photographed from the comfort of the cabin. All the wildlife pictures shown have been taken from the cabin. The surrounding woodlands and trails can be accessed straight from the garden and no roads have to be crossed.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to access all areas of the property and all the surrounding woodland and trails. Access into the surrounding forests is via a path straight from the rear of the property the trails lead for miles into the surrounding area . We also have a store for cyclists to keep their bikes should they want to adventure out and leave them behind.

Other things to note
All bedding is provided. Towels are also available for your use if required at no extra charge.

Insh is a quiet hamlet with a small church and is adjacent to the RSPB nature reserve on Insh marshes which is a natural flood plane for the river Spey. There are several bird hides on the reserve where you can visit just down the road and watch the wild life.
Ruthven Barracks is also a short distance away and is free to visitors and well worth a visit. In the other direction from the village is loch Insh where you can enjoy the water sports or take a drink or two.

Hi my name is Chris, I am married to Angie and we both live in the village of Insh with our two spoilt miniature Dachshunds. We are keen gardeners and love all nature and wildlife. We keep hens, bees and have two tame Shetland sheep we help look after in our field. We love walking the dogs around the many trails in the area.

Angie and I will be available on arrival to offer any assistance you may require. We live further down the village so if further assistance or help is required during your stay please don't hesitate to ask and we will help if possible. If you want a peaceful retreat and don't want disturbing this is also no problem.
