  • My girlfriend and me stayed 6 nights in the flat of Philippe. We enjoyed our time in the flat because it exceeded our expectations (we used the flat mainly as sleeping accommodation). It was properly cleaned but some objects could be replaced because they are pretty “used” (like the coach). The flat is located in a very central location in the middle of the old town of Nice and that is in our opinion the major feature of the flat. There are plenty of restaurants just around the corner but also bars and nightclubs. So be aware of the noise! The flat however has noise mitigation windows, which are pretty good. Though it is not possible to sleep with open windows!

  • We enjoyed our stay in this small flat in Nice, but wouldn't go back there. We thought for the amount of money we paid, not enough attention was given to the flat. The first thing when having a shower was to free the sink, as the water would not go away. Also just one roll of toilet paper was a bit of a draw back on arrival. The bed linen were not ironed, and the bed had to be made ourselves. Which gives a bit of a bad welcome when you arrive. It just would cost 30 minutes of work to improve this experience, and 1-2 EUROs to buy some more toilet paper, and given the quite high dayrate, we would expect this from this flat. We understand that Philippe does not live in Nice, and we think this is one of the reasons why this is not taken care of properly.
But the biggest problem is the street noise in the night. It happens to be that the after party just takes place in the 2 bars right next to the flat… and we consider ourselves young and tolerant, but having drunken people screaming on the street till 4 or even 5pm in the morning EVERY DAY was really a bit too much.
Communication was another thing which we weren't so happy about. It took four days to arrange our late arrival, and in this time we didn't hear back from him. Philippe is not living in Nice, and I think it would help next time to find a host which is. There are also good things to say about the flat, which is: great location, TV and Internet, and an overall cool and modern feel to the flat itself, combined with the charm of the old town.

  • We had a great time staying in this cute apartment. The location of the flat is perfect for young people who are going out. There are a lot of bars and restaurants around, therefore it could be a bit noisy at night, but it was not a problem for us. You can reach the sea in 5 min walk. The flat itself is modern, but situated in an old house built in 1608 – perfect combination with romantic atmosphere. Philippe is very friendly and helpful host. He was on time and everything went smoothly. With please I would like to stay in this apartment once again.

  • We loved the flat. We had a hard time giving it back after a month as it had become our second home. The location is perfect - 3 min to our morning walk on the beach and in the midst of the old town, less than 5 min away from a great public pool and fabulous restaurants. The size is great for a couple. It has everything one could possibly need.

  • Philippe's apartment is centrally located in Nice's Old Town. It was a short walk to the beach, and we appreciated its close proximity to good restaurants and shops. We had an initial issue with the apartment, but Philippe was helpful and addressed the problem right away. Four of us stayed in the apartment (two couples); given the size of the place, we would recommend it for two people, or perhaps a couple with a child who could sleep in the living room.
