Relax and recharge at this unique sanctuary where outdoor living and everyday comfort co-exist in harmony. This tiny home is located just minutes from Joshua Tree National Park and highlights compact living without compromise.

Enjoy the stars at night in this idyllic vacation spot surrounded by stunning desert views. A modern design with contemporary amenities makes this desert retreat the perfect way to experience tiny home living.

The space
Nestled minutes from the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park sits this beautifully designed tiny home. Redefining compact living, our modern sanctuary features a bright living area equipped with a flat-screen TV equipped with Apple TV (we unfortunately do not have cable) and a fold-down couch, that can sleep 1. The living space flows seamlessly into a corridor with a built-in table for two on one wall, and ample storage on the other. The storage unit doubles as the stairs which lead you up to a wide, comfortable loft featuring a Queen size palette bed and breathtaking views of the surrounding environment.

On your way down the loft, you’ll find yourself in a contemporary kitchen. Outfitted with stainless steel appliances, open shelves, and an apron-front sink. This kitchen has everything you need, including a Keurig so you can enjoy coffee and take in the scenery. On the other side of the charming barn-door is where you will find the bathroom. Stylish features such as a panoramic window, high ceilings in the shower, and a vessel sink make this "tiny" room feel spacious.

Outside there is a private lawn and driveway which divides this property from Moon Camp, another one of our stunning properties, giving you your own space to enjoy. You'll find patio chairs for lounging around our fire pit, lounge chairs for sunbathing, a picnic bench available for dining outdoors, and our gorgeous hand-crafted hammocks ideal for sun-tanning and stargazing. The lawn, which is artificial turf, turns this desert dwelling into a lush oasis

While The Little Dipper may feel miles away (it is on a short stretch of groomed dirt road), it is close to most anything you might need. The Yucca Valley shopping center is a 5-minute drive away and is complete with a Walmart, Home Depot, fast food restaurants, and more. Additionally, you can hike or drive directly into the Covington Flats (an area of the national park), which is about 5 miles past the home up La Contenta Road.

Located within the town of Joshua Tree, our home is a 7-minute drive to the center of town where you can find local favorites like Joshua Tree Coffee Company and Natural Sisters Cafe. Just 15 minutes away is the formal West Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. Additionally, if you plan to have dinner at Pappy & Harriet's (a 17-minute drive), we strongly recommend making an advance reservation.

Please keep in mind this is an off-grid home meaning we are not connected to any public utilities (it does not have anything to do with location or disconnecting from technology). We rely on the sun for energy and holding tanks for water that we have delivered on a reoccurring schedule. Being conscious of your consumption is critical for a smooth stay. If you are wasteful this property probably isn’t for you.

Where you’ll be

Joshua Tree, California, United States

Stop in Yucca Valley on the way into town! We suggest you check out some of the great shops like Route 62, Desert Curious, Elements on 62 (all vintage) and our favorite, Acme 5. Grab a coffee or a snack at Frontier Cafe. Downtown Joshua Tree is just a few minutes East of the Property (as is the National Park). Grab a souvenir blanket at the Joshua Tree Blanket Co. Such a cool shop. If you're hungry, there are some great places to chow such as Natural Sisters Cafe and Country Kitchen! Also, get ready to enjoy some epic starry nights, sunrises and sunsets!
