thank you!

This is a one of a kind opportunity in Chiang Mai: stay in my newly decorated loft apartment next to the Ping River while experiencing how to live like a local foreigner in this beautiful city. The apartment is very spacious and newly renovated and decorated in Western style. I, myself am an airbnb fan, up to now only as guest, but now I would like to give back the great hospitality I've received from other hosts around the world.
The apartment is located within walking distance from the Night Bazaar and local markets. A selection of the best Thai and Western restaurants as well cafes can be found along the river and are only a 5-10 mins walk away. Supermarkets and well-known International and local schools are also located in the surrounding area. If you are up for a day of sightseeing, various temples, markets and the famous Thapae Gate is not far from the apartment, for your own comfort however you may choose to hop on a 'Tuk Tuk' just outside. Need to buy a sovenirs, handicrafts, silk
Ohh and one more thing, if you are tired of sightseeing and the heat is getting to you, take a dip in our common pool which is located on the second floor.
We look forward to welcoming you 'mi casa es tu casa', so please make yourself feel at home and enjoy your stay here in our breath-taking city! :)

Check In
  • The Loft at Embassy House was most comfortable for the three of us. We overlooked the Ping River and enjoyed the 20 minute walk to the Night Market and large Warorot Market where the locals shop. The inner city surrounded by remains of the ancient walls and scenic mote offered more to explore. Geoff took a jewelry making course while Mike and I lounged in a riverboat. The staff at Embassy house were most attentive and Sabine made our stay most accessible. Our only disappointment was the beautiful but unheated pool & hot tub. Local Cheroen Rat Road neighborhood offered great coffee shop, excellent restaurants and shops. Chiang Mai offers so many creative artisans whose stylish wears are irresistible...come with your bag empty and leave with it full of treasures!

  • Overall we really enjoyed the place. The space is open and modern. The location is good, even though it is outside of the Old City. The view is fantastic. Sabine was very helpful as well. Our only issue was with the hot water not being warm enough, although this is apparently a bigger deal in the winter than in the summer. Sabine is trying to fix it though.

  • Sabine's loft was spectacular! Great location just outside of the loud and busy city / market area. It was the perfect place to relax after a full day. Easy walk between the loft and the city, but also a quick tuk-tuk ride.

We were guests from Dec 28 - Jan 2. I promise you this, if you are in Chiang Mai for a New Year, STAY HERE! We had a super busy day and were not sure we wanted to be in the city limits for the craziness of midnight. We went back to the loft and watched the sky lanterns and fireworks from the balcony, and then continued watching them from the bedroom. MAGNIFICENT! As we drifted to sleep, we could still see the FULL view of the city sky. It was perfect.

Also perfect... Breakfast every darn morning at WSK Noodle Soup just a short walk down the road. 203/1 Charoenrat Rd, Chiang Mai, Thailand 50000
TRUST ME! We were there every morning! Super inexpensive and DELICIOUS! My favorite was the Duck Soup and Milk Tea.

Across the street is a nice little place called Natwat Home Cafe. We ate there our first night when we checked in and didn't feel like going to far after our 20 hour trip from the States. It was inexpensive and yummy! Matthew got coffee in the morning for our stroll to breakfast at WSK Noodle Soup.

The lobby staff was very friendly. There was a 24 hour doorman and the neighborhood felt safe and clean.

The only thing that I would make note of, is that there is limited hot water during the "winter" season. While the weather was absolutely perfect for us (average 80*F), we had to keep in mind that it was *actually* winter in Thailand. Sabine was kind enough to offer us to try for warmer showers in another apartment, but we were fine keeping with the shower in 10B.

I highly recommend Sabine's loft apartment and we would certainly stay with her again on our next visit to Thailand! If I had more space left in this post, I could go on and on about how awesome our stay was :)

  • Even though I did not have a chance to meet Sabine, the check in was convenient. The apartment is cosy and spacey. It is exactly as shown in the profile. The airy balcony was my favorite place for breakfast. The location is very convenient with my car. However, it is a bit far from old city part, but you can use public transport with a little surcharge. I definitely recommend this apartment.

  • Sabine's loft is great, and just as described and commented upon. It is in perhaps the best locale and with the best view, as it looks towards the west from 10 stories up, just beside the river. That gives one a sense of perspective and a bit of distance above the busy city below. Great spot.

  • The loft is fantastic! Huge open space, modern design and comfortable furnishings, breezy air flowing through the windows, sweeping views of Chiang Mai and Ping river. Inside the loft, every detail is very well thought of making you instantly comfortable and at ease.

The kitchen has everything in case you decide to cook something yourself, but, frankly, there are so many places to eat around (from tiny stalls to full service restaurants) that there is no need to cook. There is a nice cafe literally across the street with a European flair and more homey-styled small restaurant next to the building serving Burmese/Thai/American medley of dishes. There are many more restaurants within a short distance.

The loft is about 20 min walk from the moat. We preferred to walk everywhere, but if walking is not for you the building manager can arrange a taxi or tuk-tuk, renting a scooter is another choice.

On a hot sunny day, it’s great to jump to the pool. We stayed in Sabine’s place for 2 weeks and haven’t seen anyone using the pool, so it was just for us to swim.

Last, but not least: Sabine is a wonderful host. She answered emails and phone calls within minutes and was very flexible and accommodating for our needs. She has such a sunny personality that it’s been a pleasure just simply chatting with her. If you have any questions, she will be quick to answer and help you.

Actually, we liked the loft so much that we extended our stay for a week. We are definitely will be staying there during our next visit to Chiang Mai.

  • Sabine and her place were terrific! Great location, and the loft itself was outstanding. The views were great, and Sabine was super-friendly and helpful. If we ever get lucky enough to get back to Chiang Mai, we will stop by to say hi.

    Thanks for everything!

  • Spectacular view of Chian(website hidden)arge and comfortable condo with wifi, Zdiligent maid service and nearby laundry. The saline pool is a refreshing antidote to a hot day out. Our small grandchildren loved it for fun and grandpa could do his 15 m laps. However, tuk-tuk service is often unavailable so have a taxi you can call.

  • We stayed in in Sabines apartment for one month, one of the best moves we have made when overseas.
Sabine welcomed us and made sure we had everything that we required.
The condo was fitted with absolutely everything that you could wish for to make your stay a very enjoyable one.
The quality of the equipment was very superior, and this even included superior linen and kitchen crockery and cutlery.
The Large dining table was a delight to share a meal with guests.
The apartment was very spacious and exceedingly clean.
The view from the balcony, that we appreciated every morning and evening, was spectacular, you look right down the Ping River from the 10th floor.
It was a pleasure to come home every evening to our temporary home in Chiang Mai and we would certainly recommend for anyone going to Chiang Mai to stay in this apartment. It is the best.

  • Great apartment overlooking the river. The loft is spacious, stylish with a great terrace. It is 10 minutes from the fruit & flower market and 15 min from the well-known Night Bazar. The people from the reception are great help, very polite. Great kitchen, nice shower area, very modern design

I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.
