Our 1901 farmhouse is located on 122 acres of fields and forest. During the summer, you might be able to pick tomatoes and raspberries from the front garden, or attend a class. Throughout the year, come to the country to relax, wander the woods, and still be close to downtown Chardon (2 miles away), wine country, and many beautiful local parks. We are about 45 minutes from Cleveland. This agritourism Farm Stay comes with a dozen farm fresh pasture raised free range eggs produced on the farm.

The space
Although you will walk into a shared downstairs space (which typically is private for you as well unless we have let you know otherwise), you will have exclusive private access to the entire upstairs suite of the Farm House. The upstairs unit of the Farm House has three bedrooms, a kitchenette, and a sunroom that can be used as additional living space seasonally. There are great views of woods and fields from the unit.

In addition, there is a deck and private fire ring and barbeque for you to use.

Please note: There is a statewide open burn ban in effect during the months of April, May, October and November. However, barbeques, campfires and cookouts are permitted, as long as they consist ONLY of a wood stack no larger than 2 ft. high x 3 ft. wide. Use clean, seasoned firewood or equivalent.

No burning of tree trimmings, stumps, brush, weeds, leaves, grass, shrubbery, paper products, fence posts, scrap lumber, crop residues, etc.

Under Ohio law, these materials may not be burned anywhere in the state at any time:
• garbage —any wastes created in the process of handling, preparing, cooking or consuming food;
• materials containing rubber, grease and asphalt or made from petroleum, such as tires, cars and auto parts, plastics or plastic- coated wire; and
• dead animals—unless approved for control of disease by a governing agency.

Guest access
When you arrive, you will have access to the shared downstairs area (which generally is private for you as well unless we have let you know otherwise). There is a large dining room table, free tea samples, and a living room area. From the dining room you will have access to a private upstairs suite with three bedrooms, 1 seasonal flex room, kitchenette and full bath.

Other things to note
The bottom space of the Farm House is not exclusively the domain of the Airbnb. We have an office that is located off of this space and products that we may need to access. Typically, we try to keep out of this section of the house entirely when we have guests staying so that it also can be used by our guests without interference. We would always let you know if we need to access the space or if there are any other farm events scheduled during your stay that would require anyone to access the downstairs space.

The entire upstairs suite can be locked and is exclusively private for Airbnb guests

IMPORTANT: Please note that we do have well water. It has been tested to be potable, but we do not recommend drinking it. We provide drinking water free of charge.
