Interaction with Guests
I divide my time between Edinburgh and Marrakesh and when I am at the riad, I enjoy sharing my experiences of Marrakech as well as being available to give advice & tips to make guests' stay as enjoyable & memorable as possible.
Our riad is situated in a peaceful residential neighbourhood in a quiet derb ( street). I really like that are Moroccan families also living here. We are members of the local Community Association which supports local community projects. Our neighbourhood bakery is nearby as are the markets where local people shop. This all gives guests a wonderful to observe local life a world away from the tourist attractions. However in a few minutes you can also be in the heart of the souks where all the action is!
The Marrakech medina is best explored on foot. For journeys to the New town & the Marjorelle gardens it is easy to get a 'petit' taxi on the Main square. Taxis are plentiful & cheap.
The horse drawn calaches are also a lovely way of seeing the sights.
Other Things to Note
Free wi - fi is available throughout the riad. Electrical appliances work on 2 pin European plugs.
Rooms available from 2pm.
Room checkout 12pm but arrangements can be made for luggage storage.
Please note that we do not allow any additional guests not checked in, illegal drug use or smoking on our premises due to the risk this may cause to our business.
Any guests caught in such circumstances will have their reservation ended immediately.
From Dec 23, 2015 - Jan 03, 2016 the minimum stay is 3 nights.
I very much enjoyed my stay at Riad Linda. The staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. The location was perfect for exploring the city and providing respite. A very good value. Linda was out of the country when I stayed but she was always prompt and helpful with prearrangements.
My stay at Riad Linda was very enjoyable - I was happy to be able to meet Linda as our communication had been very efficient and pleasant and found her and her staff to be very friendly and committed to helping each guest make the most of their stay. The staff arranged various events for me (cooking class - delicious and fun!, visit to a nearby hammam, excursion to the Atlas Mountains, etc.) as well as provided tips for bargaining, dealing with being in the city alone, etc..
The riad location was great - near the main square but away from the hustle yet easy to locate (having been walked over from the square to the riad once, I was never lost in subsequent trips back!).
The riad was clean, comfortable and decor was very tasteful, incorporating lots of traditional Moroccan elements. I especially loved the rooftop terrace - a lovely place to spend a morning or afternoon! The only downside was the spottiness of wifi access but not really an issue for me as my intent on this trip was to unplug!
All in all, this was a lovely place to stay and great value for price - I'd recommend to anyone visiting Marrakech!

About the Host, Linda
Hi, I'm Linda & I live between Edinburgh in Scotland & Marrakech, Morocco. My husband & I found our gorgeous Marrakesh house in 2008 & spent a lot of time restoring this lovely old building using traditional materials and local craftsmen. We love Marrakech for the sunshine and the warmth and charm of its people. We now host out individual rooms in Riad Linda as well as welcoming groups of up to 14 people. Marrakesh is an exotic & fascinating city & perfect for a very memorable holiday in an unusual destination.
I always aim to respond to enquiries very quickly. My usual response time is about 2 hours ( allowing for time differences!)
