Guest access

Guests have access to our lovely sunny roof terrace with sun loungers & our beautiful Berber Tent. Our courtyard garden is perfect for catching up with e mails with our free wi fi. Our manager Rachid is also available to help plan shopping trips, visits to a local hammam, excursions & give advice on haggling!

Interaction with guests

I divide my time between Edinburgh and Marrakesh and when I am at the riad, I enjoy sharing my experiences of Marrakech as well as being available to give advice & tips to make guests' stay as enjoyable & memorable as possible.

The neighborhood

Our riad is situated in a peaceful residential neighbourhood in a quiet derb ( street). I really like that are Moroccan families also living here. We are members of the local Community Association which supports local community projects. Our neighbourhood bakery is nearby as are the markets where local people shop. This all gives guests a wonderful to observe local life a world away from the tourist attractions. However in a few minutes you can also be in the heart of the souks where all the action is!

Getting around

The Marrakech medina is best explored on foot. For journeys to the New town & the Marjorelle gardens it is easy to get a 'petit' taxi on the Main square. Taxis are plentiful & cheap.

The horse drawn calaches are also a lovely way of seeing the sights.

Other things to note

Free wi - fi is available throughout the riad. Electrical appliances work on 2 pin European plugs.

A laundry service is available for a small extra charge. Please check with our staff for details.

Great riad, renovated but authentic, located in the heart of the Medina. For first time visitors it seems confusing to get there at first but after navigating through the small streets once or twice, it's fine. I was very well welcomed by the staff, very kind, helpful and speak English well enough. Shukran!

Hi, I'm Linda & I live between Edinburgh in Scotland & Marrakech, Morocco. My husband & I found our beautiful Marrakesh house in 2008 & spent a lot of time restoring this lovely old building using traditional building materials and the skills and knowledge of local craftsmen. We love Marrakech for the sunshine and the warmth and charm of its people. We always enjoy meeting our guests and sharing our experiences with them. Marrakesh is such an exotic and fascinating destination and is only a few hours flight away from most European cities.

I always aim to respond to enquiries quickly. My usual response time is about 2 hours ( allowing for time differences!)
