We're offering a newly-redecorated double room in our Edwardian family home. The room is spacious and comfortable, there's a TV, DVD player and internet access, plus we offer shared use of our bathroom, shower room, kitchen and living areas. Linen, towels and a light breakfast are included!
The local area is full of wonderful shops, churches, pubs and a park all within easy walking distance, as are local buses which will take you to the town centre in just 10 minutes.
This is an ideal base for a couple or two friends looking to enjoy and explore the city itself or attend one of the many events in the area.
The bedroom will be located on the first floor but we'll obviously meet you and show you around upon arrival.
We have a cat! Sadly we aren't able to accomodate any pets that guests might bring along.
How to find us:
Via Rail: Wolverhampton is 1hr 50mins from London Euston or 40 minutes from Birmingham Airport with frequent, direct trains. A taxi from the station to our house should cost around £5.
Via Road: We are just a short distance from the M5 (J2) and the M6 (J10/13) - we will happily provide more specific directions nearer the time.
On a very nice street - Newbridge Avenue, quiet and beautifully green, number 6 is easy to find and from the Wolverhampton Railway Station with ABC (booked) taxi only a 3.70 pound ride away.
The house was warm and welcoming and the bedroom is exactly what it represents in the picture. Sue and Stan gave me a warm welcome and within 5 minutes I had already relaxed and settled into their comfortable family discussions. I also had the pleasure of meeting their daughter, Imogen. Dusty - the famous grey cat, was my constant companion during my stay which delighted me.
Breakfast is balanced, healthy and compiled of a vast selection of yogurts, cereal, toast, orange juice, tea or coffee and you are seated in their cozy kitchen where, usually, the fire is slowly burning - making your "slowly waking-up" experience soft and comfortable. Sue and Stan were there for me when in need of information about anything I needed, including buses and which taxi service to use. I can't recommend this home-away-from-home highly enough and if ever I need to be in the neighborhood again I will be staying with them for sure.
Very warm welcome from Sue!
We stayed here for the tough guy competition - it was a real good choice!

I'm James, I'm 25 and I'm a secondary school teacher of German and French. I like to spend my time travelling, both motorised and on foot. I take photos too - not professionally, just for fun.
When it comes to hosting guests on airbnb, my Mum and Dad often play a leading role! Those people who come and stay with us find themselves in a friendly family environment which has been welcoming guests for years, many of whom come back and see us time and again. There's plenty of space for you to do your own thing if that's what you want, equally you can join us for conversations about anything and everything!
