We're offering a newly-redecorated double room in our Edwardian family home. The room is spacious and comfortable, there's a TV, DVD player and internet access, plus we offer shared use of our bathroom, shower room, kitchen and living areas. Linen, towels and a light breakfast are included!
The local area is full of wonderful shops, churches, pubs and a park all within easy walking distance, as are local buses which will take you to the town centre in just 10 minutes.
This is an ideal base for a couple or two friends looking to enjoy and explore the city itself or attend one of the many events in the area.
The bedroom will be located on the first floor but we'll obviously meet you and show you around upon arrival.
We have a cat! Sadly we aren't able to accomodate any pets that guests might bring along.
How to find us:
Via Rail: Wolverhampton is 1hr 50mins from London Euston or 40 minutes from Birmingham Airport with frequent, direct trains. A taxi from the station to our house should cost around £5.
Via Road: We are just a short distance from the M5 (J2) and the M6 (J10/13) - we will happily provide more specific directions nearer the time.
Only stayed for one night and found Sue to be a lovely host. Beautiful home, comfy bed in a great sized room. Nice, peaceful location within easy reach of the city centre. Will hopefully new welcome and would love to stay again.
Sue (James' mum) was an absolutely amazing host. She was very good at communicating before I got there. And she gave me a tour of the house when I got there. Showing me where everything was. The room was very big and I believe it is great value for money. I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again.
Ottima struttura, pulita ed ordinata. Proprietari molto disponibili.
Ritornerei sicuramente nella stessa casa che consiglio altamente.
We enjoyed hosting Angelo & Rosanna: they were friendly and polite and we had good conversations on a couple of occasions, with Rosanna translating for her husband!
They had come to see their son who is training at the local hospital, but they made good use of their time in seeing other towns and cities. We are very pleased that they liked our home and they would be more than welcome if they ever want to visit again!
Sue & Stan (James's parents)
This was my second stay with Sue and Stan and I can't tell you all enough how welcome they made me feel, once again. Even going beyond what is required of a host and hostess, making sure my mind was at peace and I had absolutely everything I needed - including the ingredients to make an apple crumble!
Beautiful room and an extremely comfortable mattress - a home away from home.
Once again breakfast was fulfilling and balanced and the jam selection will leave you spoiled for choice.
If you are looking for a place to stay where you can enjoy people's company, have your personal space respected and feel totally at ease this is the place for you.
We had a great time in Wolverhampton. After the hassle of a 5 hour car trip from Skegness - that should have taken 3 hours bar the A1 being closed - we were able to properly relax (and enjoy the Marillion gig). Sue and Stan were very welcoming - and their house is very comfortable. Ginny enjoyed exchanging NSM tales with Sue - some serendipity at work here!
We were just passing by on our way to the Lake District so the time we spent there wasn't much at all. But everything was just perfect for what we needed, a cosy and comfy bedroom, bathroom on the floor, and Sue could accommodate easily our need to check-in a bit late in the evening and she and her husband were very nice and helpful. Too bad we didn't meet the cat too! Also, a good healthy breakfast ready for us to help ourselves with in the morning and the ability to park our car on their drive, plus! Thanks a lot and will definitely come again if we happen to travel around there again!
It was a pleasure to stay in that house, the room, hosts, breakfast... All was perfect.

I'm James, I'm 25 and I'm a secondary school teacher of German and French. I like to spend my time travelling, both motorised and on foot. I take photos too - not professionally, just for fun.
When it comes to hosting guests on airbnb, my Mum and Dad often play a leading role! Those people who come and stay with us find themselves in a friendly family environment which has been welcoming guests for years, many of whom come back and see us time and again. There's plenty of space for you to do your own thing if that's what you want, equally you can join us for conversations about anything and everything!
