The Space

Casa Jardines is an oasis of quiet in the middle of Central America's oldest city. Boasting a large garden we are located in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Casa Jardines is the perfect place to come back to after a busy day of sightseeing.

A short walk will bring you to the heart of the Granada, its many fine and varied restaurants and historic Cathedral. The house is also just one block from Granada's newest and best full service gym, including exercise equipment, yoga classes and massage therapy. Special prices apply for guests wishing to use the facility.

The rooms are complete with a full bath and rates include a continental breakfast, daily maid service, a central salon with cable television, a library, a computer for the use of guests, as well as Wi-Fi service. Accommodations may be rented with or without air conditioning.

Limited parking is available on-site or can be arranged at one of the close by garages.

Off the main streets you will wake to the songs of birds rather than the sounds of buses. The large garden provides plenty of space for reading, intimate conversations or just an afternoon nap in one of the comfy hammocks.

Our staff is both friendly and willing to help in anyway they can, including laundry service. Guests are free to use the kitchen and are welcome to have the staff prepare their midday or evening meals.

We are also pleased to help you arrange transport anywhere around Granada or Nicaragua, if you wish to travel on your own; and are able to arrange tours of the many attractions surrounding Granada, including the pueblo blancos where many of Nicaragua's best artisans reside and sell their works.

Guests are welcome to stay for a night, a month or longer. Reduced rates apply for longer stays.

  • I'm ready to pack it all up and move in with Joel! The house is BEAUTIFUL + SUPER SAFE + VERY WELCOMING + PERFECTLY LOCATED! I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in a nice cool room, with a kitchen to use and ample space to hang out and lounge :) It is situated close enough that you are within walking distance of everything, but far enough away that it is quiet. Can't recommend this place enough! Seriously, Joel, save my room for me ;)

  • I highly recommend staying at Casa Jardines! It's in a perfect location if you prefer quite, just 5 min's from the main square. Far enough away that you wake to the sound of morning doves and the clickity Clack of horses hooves on the cobblestone road.

The room's are delightful and spacious and Joel and an absolute joy to speak with and amazing positive energy and always available to help should you need any.

The kitchen is available for cooking meals and has everything you need.

There is a gym right around the corner should you wish to exercise, they have yoga and spa services, highly recommend getting up early and going for a run along the water.

5 ***** for Casa Jardines! Thank you Joel, we may be back when we come back through in a couple of weeks time. See you soon!

  • Wow, Joel's place was great! He was absolutely fabulous to communicate with, he really enjoys hosting people and helping them have a great experience in Granada.

His house was in a quiet part of town, but just a couple blocks from the main street. My partner and I had a comfortable room with a shower, with a porch that looks into a garden. I will absolutely stay with Joel again if I go to Granada!

  • Great place. Rooms are made from brick so very quiet. Just a few blocks from our favorite restaurant Garden Cafe. Would definitely stay there again.

  • This was my first time to use Airbnb. I can’t say enough good things about this service or my accommodations with Joel. We stayed a total of 8 nights. Joel arranged a driver from the airport when we arrived in Nicaragua. It was smooth sailing from there!

The pleasant surprise was that the house was a colonial! It sits just far enough from the Park Central to be quiet but still a short walk from restaurants and shopping. The cab and carriage drivers know exactly where it is so getting home after dark is safe and inexpensive. The individual rooms were comfortable and very clean. There is a large garden with plenty of chairs, seating arrangements and a hammock. The Wifi connection reaches to the patio. Candy, the housekeeper, is an early riser and always had fresh coffee ready. Bless her heart, she is pleasant and always has a quick smile and infectious laugh. Because this house is in a neighborhood, it is safe and very relaxed. And I would also mention that the others I met at this hotel were return visitors.

Joel has great advice on sights and restaurants around town. He also has good contacts for drivers and transportation.

Not only would I recommend this small hotel for the solo traveler or families, but I will use it again when I am in Granada.

    Joel, thanks again!

  • Despite an initial hiccup, which Joel completely owned up to and made up for, we had a lovely stay at Casa Jardines. The gardens are stunning and the place is very welcoming and comfortable. His housekeeper, Candy, is very kind and helpful and cooked us the best breakfast we had during our entire stay in Nicaragua (gallo pinto with yogurt and onion flakes is a brilliant combination). Loved playing with the dog, Lykka (or Lika?) and cat, Pixel. We were within walking distance of the main areas and found it very convenient for exploring the city by foot. He arranged a driver to take us to Laguna de Apoyo and the price was fair. Only wish we had more time there to explore the nearby volcanoes and Masaya art market. Hope to visit again :)

  • Joel and his helper, Candy, were very welcoming, easing me back into a town I have enjoyed so much and that was much appreciated. Joel knows the ins and outs of Granada very well and is welling to share. His home is casual and comfortable and just a few minute walk to most everything you would want to see in Granada.

  • Our stay in Granada was lovely! Joel is a great host, attentive to any questions and needs we had. The breakfasts were delicious, and the coffee was always strong! I will definitely come back on my next trip to Nica.

  • Joel's place in Granada is just great. We stayed with a group of 8 for three nights and enjoyed it a lot. The location is perfect, the house and the rooms are nice and the overall vibe is just right. Recommended.
