There are several local wineries in both Vacaville and Dixon. If you prefer, Napa-Sonoma is only about half an hour away. Lake Tahoe is within easy driving distance, being two hours away. San Francisco and Sacramento are also within an hour's commute.
The room has been upgraded with a ceiling fan, there is a hook up for a laptop, with WiFi. The bathroom is across the hall and the dining room-kitchen area is right down the hall from your room.

Now that the weather is warmer, the deck offers a relaxing area to enjoy the view of the city as well as our amazing citrus trees and all the backyard birds. Interaction with Guests
There are two adults living here. Generally both of us are friendly and outgoing. We give our guests plenty of privacy and you would have full use of the house, with the exception of the other two bedrooms.
The neighborhood is an eclectic mix of newer as well as older homes. There is a church directly across the street, so it is normally only in use on the weekend. We are close to downtown, which is about 5 minutes away by foot or even less by car. There is a park just down the street and we are close to the edge of town and there are beautiful places surrounding Vacaville to visit and explore.
Public transportation is the bus system. There are no trolleys or trams here. The closest train station is either in Davis or in Fairfield. Both are about 20 miles away.
No smoking . Advance notice if you need to cancel would be helpful to us. Also, we prefer no pets with our guests unless it is for a short stay (one or two nights). This house is drug free and non-smoking, so we ask that any guest in our home adhere to those rules.
our hallway is decorated with art work from Honduras, Guatemala, New Mexico and Cologne, Germany
Suzanne (and Pete) were an absolute joy to stay with! She made some wonderful gingerbread cookies during my stay & provided valuable feedback concerning local restaurants and shortcuts to my destinations. The bed was so comfy that you forgot it was a futon and the cool breezes wafting throughout the room helped my stay feel like a breath of fresh air! I would definitely recommend anyone staying in the area to spend time here.
Suzanne is very caring host. I loved staying at her place. She shared the delicious oranges from her orange tree. I would definitely recommend this place to any future guest.
The house is very homey and comfy.Suzanne and Pete are wonderful hosts and great cooks! I really enjoyed speaking to them and getting to know them on a personal level. I recommend travelers coming here for a stay!
Suzanne war sehr großzügig, willkommen heißend und locker im Umgang. das Haus war insgesamt recht unkonventionell.
I had to make a fast move to NorCal without much planning to do and Suzanne welcomed me to her home for a short/long term stay only few days before I had to make the move. This house is located in a safe neighborhood in a central NorCal city: SF, Sacramento, and the beautiful Napa Valley within no more than 20 to 50 miles. Ideal to visit all these locations on a NorCal trip. The room is an average size room with a ceiling fan that helps to kill the summer heat. Feels quite cozy. Suzanne is very talkative, interesting (world traveler), and trilingual, which was a major plus for me as I love traveling and am trilingual too. If I ever needed more privacy I always felt free to ask and she was very respectful. I'm allergic to cats, however, never did I have a problem with the beautiful and shy kitty. Suzanne has also made some delicious meals few times during my stay which I appreciate much. Would recommend this location to any adventurous person(s) wanting to explore NorCal.
Suzanne and Pete were very accomodating hosts. They made sure I had access to the wifi, more than enough towels for the restroom, space in the fridge for meals, and laundry supplies as well. Their place is very well kept and the futon has to be the most comfortable futon I have yet to sleep on. The home is very clean and the cat did not aggravate my allergies at all. Very sweet people with a lot of knowledge.
Nov. 2013 - Suzanne is hospitable and offered to make me breakfast to make up for our miscommunication on check-in time. With any Airbnb reservations, hosts and guests should confirm the check-in time prior to making reservations as schedules can be quite variable and these are not hotels with 24-hour check-in staff. The best way to communicate with Suzanne is via Airbnb messaging or email, not text/phone.
About the Host, Suzanne
I love to travel and enjoy speaking other languages. Meeting people through various social networks is good, but I prefer to meet people face to face.
Foreign visitors are always interesting to meet! In addition, I just returned from a short trip, 3 weeks, to visit friends in Germany (Cologne area). I thoroughly enjoy having guests from other countries stay with us.
