(PLEASE READ)I WANT TO FIRST START OFF BY SAYING MY LOFT IS NOT LOCATED WHERE IT SHOWS FLAGGED ON THE MAP. I AM NOT IN CHINATOWN. THIS IS AM TOLD IS A RANDOM CLOSE PROXIMITY SECURITY FEATURE OF THE SITE TO NOT GIVE EXACT LOCATION UNTIL A PERSON HAS BOOKED. I AM HOWEVER IN THE HEART OF THE SOUTH LOOP!!. A CONVENIENT WALK TO THE MUSEUMS, MC CORMICK PLACE AND THE MAJOR RED LINE STOP. CHINATOWN IS ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE TRAIN TRACKS. I AM EAST OF THE METRA AND RED LINE TRACKS. I DO HOWEVER LOVE CHINATOWN AND FREQUENT THERE OFTEN AS DO MY GUESTS. MY LOCATION IS QUIET UNLIKE THAT NEIGHBORHOOD which can be very busy and bustling, similar to the Gold Coast and River North areas at night.
I have a 2000+ square foot , 3 bedroom loft apartment in which I rent one private bedroom. (NOTE- I have recently started an ENTIRE LOFT rental and a second MASTER SUITE ROOM( See pictures ) rental .Penthouse loft and Master Suite are separate rentals in same unit ( private division and individual entry doors to each rental space ) These can be rented together as an entire loft rental as well. Ask about these if interested. I haven't listed them as separate rentals yet. Price is same for either the penthouse room or the master suite at this time. If you want the entire loft that is at different rate.
The room is set up for a single professional or student only. Your room is located on the second floor(private staircase) of the apartment which is the actual penthouse room with a scenic lake view and skyline view of Trump tower, Water tower, McCormick Place and the Field Museum . Limited access to apartment kitchen for heating of meals and use of refrigerator and freezer. Fully stocked use of kitchen cupboards with dinnerware for serving your meals. The room comes with your own bathroom and shower which is located on the first floor and includes all soaps and shampoo and shower gel.Fresh linens included and housekeeping done regular to present a clean fresh rental to each new guest. Room comes furnished with 100% cotton linens and towels. The room is decorated with mid century furniture, queen size bed, with your own 9 drawer dresser, desk, your own large in room closet with hangers, iron and ironing board, club chair, live plants and plenty of lights. My building is located one block east and north from the Chinatown redline( subway) which operates 24 hrs a day. There is also a bus stop in front of my building which takes you to the loop. I am 0.8 miles to Mc Cormick place/ 15 min walk. This includes all utilities, wifi and weekly housekeeping. I do own a well behaved Schnauzer(dog) and he sleeps in my private wing of the loft at night and he doesn't have access to the penthouse. ( There is a gate )
NOTE: I do not allow for check-ins after 9 pm. Please check with me first. I do allow self check-ins on occasion with prior discussion as the loft has a keyless entry system I can give tenant a personal code for.

Plenty of cabs in neighborhood but suggest to use Uber ap on phone.
All guests are expected to remove shoes at the entry door.
Washing of all dishes used.
Headphones must be used for music if sharing the loft, otherwise quiet hours are from 10pm-10am.
No parties with guests.
No overnight guests.
If kitchen use is included in your stay no curry dishes allowed or anything pungent like fish etc.
Coasters used for placing drinks on furniture.
No smoking in loft or building.
David's place was just what we were looking for; close to downtown, convenient to the train, and complete with all the luxuries of home you'd need. We enjoyed the gas fireplace, had a great view of the skyline, and otherwise felt quite welcomed. There was a small issue with the keypad on the loft's entry door, but David was quick to resolve it, and more than accommodating. We would definitely return.
The listing was just as described and pictured. The view from the loft was amazing, the neighborhood was quiet and very convenient: close to the train stop/grocery store/restaurant. Downtown Chicago was >10 minutes away by the L train, and the stop was literally around the corner.
The host was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to make sure I knew how to get to and from his place. He was very accessible for any questions I had.
Would definitely stay again.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
David was a very pleasant and accomodating host. The loft was very comfortable and convenient. Communication with David was effortless and seamless. He answered all my questions in a professional and timely manner. His loft was a great location for my conference an McCormick Place. I would stay with David again in the future for business or pleasure!
David was really kind and very helpful. Always filled with information and tourist hotspots. The loft was very close to the station and there was no troubles getting around. Bedding was clean and comfy. Amenities were kept in top condition. We loved the decor of the place, it felt very artistic and modern.
We would recommend this to anyone who would want to stay in Chicago. I would come back again!
Great experience-- view, neighborhood, privacy, comfort, and local recommendations for great food and coffee spots. This is now my destination of choice for warm and accessible space while in Chicago. Thanks!
I would definitely recommend staying at David! He was a great host and his apartment was really cozy. Perfect place to stay while visiting Chicago!

Hi my name is David. I am a very self-motivated entrepreneur and a local Firefighter and a Certified Paramedic. I also work part time as a Certified Massage Therapist. I have a roommate named Chuck who also helps me with the loft while we are both here.
My loft has a private dedicated Healing Arts room in case you are interested in some healing and relaxation. I have been living in Chicago for over 4 yrs. and am originally from Wisconsin. I became acquainted with Chicago by my many visits here over the years. I am a socially progressive guy with an appetite for great restaurants and can share with you some of my favorites locally. I love collecting mid century antiques and have a green thumb which I have brought into the living space with some great indoor plants. I have a well behaved dog named " Guapo" , he is a standard Schnauzer.
