This place was amazing. I had a great view of the city from my room. Everything was super neat and clean. I mostly had the place to myself. It was very convenient to everywhere in the city since I only had to walk 2 blocks for the metro red line and less than a block to the bus stop. The neighborhood is safe. I found myself taking the metro well past midnight and I never saw anything suspicious nor I felt in danger. David was very accommodating and very helpful in terms of guiding me towards places I could visit in the city. I would definitely stay again there with David.
David has been active in communicating well and taking care of our needs. The loft can be hot in summer, but overall the it has been super cozy. You get good privacy, a super comfortable bedroom, well equipt bathroom, and a great view at the top. The location is super close to subway, and I enjoyed Chinatown restaurants closeby. The only issue for me was the barking dog and the noise from living room downstairs in the morning of the first day, but David worked with us and changed his daily pattern to accommodate us. Thanks so much!
We had a great experience staying in David's loft space. It was clean, comfy and very conveniently located. We did a lot of walking and the location was great and very safe. David was a great host. Definitely would recommend.
I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Chicago. The "penthouse" was amazing. Rooftop view of the skyline, the whole living space had live plants throughout and a very homely feel.
David was extremely helpful on places to visit and how to get around. The location is great! 3 minute walk to Chinatown and just around the corner from some great restaurants. So close to soldier field, Adler planetarium, the Shedd Aquarium, and Buckingham Fountain. It was easy to catch an Uber or hop on the train here and close enough to downtown to not worry about high fares.
I highly recommend staying here to anyone visiting Chicago.
David was very kind during all my stay in Chicago, and very helpful with every little things I could have asked. The appartement is very well furnished, clean and cosy, and the Penthouse room as its description, perfect with a magnificent view over South Chicago like a lighthouse. The location is ideal, 2 min. by the Red Line and Chinatown, or 10 min. to the Green Line to go to the Loop Downtown, but remain especially calm during day and night. Though, you can take the taxi-boat to downtown from Chi-Town Park is also a good way to go.
Once in this old factory rebuilt as lofts place, you will meet Guapo and his friend, both very gentle dogs that keep the appartement. They remain quiet during day and night except to bark when you just arrive because you became close friends... Anyway, this place is also safe, as is the neighborhood.
In fact, it was the best way I could visit Chicago, either downtown, or the meeting that stand in the McCormick Place, 3 blocks South-East.
Thanks David, and Chuck his roommate for your welcome, I felt like home.
David is a wonderful host. Helpful, organized and really provides great hospitality and ready helpfulness. He is very easy to contact via text message and has everything you may need ready for you.
Lovely room in a very chic apartment in a great part of town. David was very welcoming and gave me a lot of information about cafes and restaurants in the area. I would definitely stay again and recommend to friends.

About the Host, David Cooper
Hi my name is David. I am a very self-motivated entrepreneur and a local Firefighter and a Certified Paramedic. I also work part time as a Certified Massage Therapist. I have a roommate named Chuck who also helps me with the loft while we are both here.
My loft has a private dedicated Healing Arts room in case you are interested in some healing and relaxation while here in Chicago. I have been living in Chicago for over 5 yrs. and am originally from Wisconsin. I became acquainted with Chicago by my many visits here over the years. I am a socially progressive guy with an appetite for great restaurants and can share with you some of my favorites locally. I love collecting mid century antiques and have a green thumb which I have brought into the living space with some great indoor plants. I have a well behaved dog named " Guapo" , he is a standard Schnauzer. Occasionally he has his dog friend " Bondi" visit. He is a friendly 11 yr old Yellow Lab.
