Just over 25 years ago we started with vacation rental business. We offer 30 minimum reservations, no reservations under 30 days. We cater to the professionals that need 30 to 180 days to accommodate their work environment.. there are very few in the valley that provides this service. You can still request shorter and we can refer you to my daughter who provides only short term accommodations.

The space
We are located on the crest of a sloping hill overlooking the Blue Mountains. With neighbors at a distance makes this condo a very relaxing place to be with lots of green space around it.

Note: We offer only stays of 30 days or more. Over the last 25 years we have shared our space with "Professional Travelers" PT's, PTS's, nurses, Doctors and students who are working on their clinical's as part of their education. Also for scores of families that are moving to the valley, they stay from 2 to 9 months while building their new home or shopping for one.

Over the years what our guests like the most besides the remote location and the serenity, is how close they are to Wal-Mart Superstore, Del-Taco, Papa Murphy's Pizza, Panda's Express and Subway. A brand new gourmet Pizza house is opening in early 2020. For those that want a health-food store, Andy's Market, noted has the largest and best healthful store in the northwest is just three blocks from the Basil Suite. Another new Mexican Restraunt called the "Happy Wonderer" just opened in the fall of 2019. It has already garnered a large group of clientele. This is just across the street from Andy's Market.

Guest access
On the property, directly behind the Basil Suite is a very large outdoor fire pit with amble wood. Just ask us for paper and gas lighter. There are a number of chairs that you can take from the patio to set on. Many people have enjoyed this feature in the past.

Other things to note

Neighborhood highlights

If you are arriving at night you'll be greeted by lights that will be coming on as you walk to your suite. These lights are at all four sides of our home for your security. Speaking of security, we have cameras outside at the front of the property and rear for your added safety and security. We have never had a break in or unwanted visitors. Making this a very relaxing place to be.

It is with great pleasure that Jeanne and Don Vories invites their guests to the Walla Walla Valley. Cottage Gardens is a place to come and rest in quiet and solitude away from the hustle and bustle of everyday work life. Lots of green space and an awesome view of the Blue Mountains. Sounds of water from many water features on the property makes you feel you are at a mountain retreat. We like our guests to think of Cottage Gardens, The Lavender Suite, their home away from home. No check in's required, just walk in and bring your personal belongings and just lay back and relax. Or walk the grounds and enjoy the sites of God's creation. Oh, we don't want to forget the bird's that think Cottage Gardens as their home. Just maybe if you arrive in time, you will get to see baby birds in any of the three birdhouses on the property.
