Overall Guest Satisfaction

  • This is a great studio apartment in an excellent location. This was my first trip to Amsterdam and I was so pleased to be able to walk to everything and stay on such a lovely canal.

Conny was a great host and very communicative before and during our stay. She even let us check in early which was great so we didn't have to store luggage.

The apartment was very clean. We didn't do much cooking but the kitchen was well appointed and had everything one would need for making meals.

I would highly recommend this property and host.

    Response from Conny:

Cancelled due to force majeur situation related to storm damage.

  • Really nice place, secluded but right in the centre of everything. Loved it.

  • Conny's appartment in Amsterdam is well situated and less than a two away from the metro. The communication with Conny was easy and efficient. The appartment itself is cute and very well decorated. It has everything a person needs to enjoy Amsterdam & feel comfortable.

    Thank you again,

    All the best

  • What a great place to stay to explore Amsterdam! Except for Keukenhof, everything we were interested in was within walking distance. As others have noted, it is only a short walk from the Waterlooplein Station to Conny's apartment. There are many and varied restaraunts within a 10 minute walking radius. We especially enjoyed Tempoe Doeloe (Indonesian, reservations required!), Krua Thai, and a little soup and salad place, Soup En Zo on Jodenbreestraat. There are 3 supermarkets within easy walking distance, including Marqt with a good selection of organic and GF items.

The wifi and water issues mentioned by others must have been fixed, as we did not experience any problems during our stay. We plan to return, and highly recommend Conny's place.

  • We really enjoyed staying at Conny's place. We booked the downstairs studio apartment. It's small, but just the right size for two people and very comfortable. The best part about this apartment is its location. It's right next door to the Hermitage Museum (which is currently showing the Van Gogh exhibit), and also the Jewish Museum. Rembrandt Square is just a couple blocks away. The entire time we were there, we never used public transit (except to and from the airport), because so many things were within walking distance.

Conny was a helpful host and was very responsive to any questions we had. I didn't meet her in person until the 2nd day, but she had her neighbor Tom greet us and let us in. He was extremely nice and gave us tons of tips on how to enjoy Amsterdam.

Also, please note that once you exit the Metro station to get to Conny's apartment, it spits you out onto the correct street, but the apartment is actually on the other side of the canal (with the odd-numbered addresses).

Also, here are a couple of great places to eat that we discovered nearby: Döner Kebab House Rembrandt is a WONDERFUL restaurant near Rembrandt Square. Order the chicken sandwich on pita bread, or the "chicken box." We ate there multiple times, and loved it. An excellent breakfast place, just a block away from the big Starbucks on Rembrandt Square, is Zuivere Koffie. Their espresso is excellent, and everything we tried the several times we ate there was fantastic.

Over all, this is an excellent apartment to rent if you want to visit Amsterdam.

  • Great location - walking distance to everything. Unit was a good size with lots of room. Not a place you want to book if planning to party in the room, as the area is quiet and peaceful.
You will need to bring plug adapter, hair dryer and iron.
Unit was very clean upon our arrival.
    Thanks Conny
