I can recommend Isabela's house to any of my friends. I had a feeling thay I was at home and the location is very nice and close to all attractions.
Room was lovely, tastefully decorated, and impeccably clean.
Location was nice - country landscape, close to the beach (about 10 mins walk), and about a 30 min drive from Sintra. HINT: go to Restaurante a Adega. We went twice!!
Hosts were great - Isabel was kind enough to set up a baby bed for us, and her mother made a wonderful breakfast each morning featuring homemade jams and cake. (the cake was particularly fantastic)
We think Sintra is one of the most amazing places in the world. This B&B is more traditional than we were expecting. The location is near the beautiful beaches outside Corales and is a great value for the area. Isobel was a lovely host and we had a fine stay.
We spent two nights at Isabel's house and we really felt at ease, welcomed and nurtured by Isabel and her family. They were very helpful with tips on restaurants and places. The room was very big, clean and relaxing and the big breakfast was a plus. They are located near two beautiful beaches and close to Sintra old town, perfect location to make the most of the area and easy if you come by car.
We had a wonderful time at Isabel's place. Everything was in place and it was a little measure to live there. Location wise it is perfectly situated between sintra and the sea. If you want you can easily walk to the beach...
We are still very grateful to all the good tips she gave us for sintra, the beaches, restaurants, etc.
La maison est à l'image de la famille qui nous accueille : chaleureuse et authentique !
Le petit-déjeuner est un moment délicieux et il est dommage de ne rester qu'une seule nuit, comme nous l'avons fait, chez Isabel.
Isabel is a great host! Judging by her warm welcome and friendly style, she clearly loves running her B & B, and meeting people from around the world. We had a good laugh during our many chats, and were made to feel genuinely at home in her beautiful place near the wild Portuguese ocean. She also gave us great recommendations on places to eat, surf & sightsee. These things helped us to make the most of a 2 day trip, which was far too short to do everything that the area has to offer.
Thank you Isabel for our wonderful visit!
My only advice is, if you are making a short trip, try to plan well in advance. Make sure you get off the train at the Portela de Sintra station, not the main Sintra station, so you can easily hop on to the 441 bus to the B & B. And if you can get hold of a bus timetable before you arrive, it will help you plan your time. But even better advice is, stay for at least 3 or 4 nights, and take time to enjoy the Sintra area and the coast in a more relaxed way!
