The Ekahi room has a private bath located down the hall. The Ekahi room has a king bed. There is a flat screen TV on the wall, good lighting for reading and a nice view. This room shares amenities with other rooms such as ping pong, grill and spa. There is free Wifi, too. Continental breakfast is included.
Amazing place to stay, delicious breakfast prepared with love! Hilary is a wonderful host, mahalo!
We had a wonderful stay at the Kauai Retreat Center. The location was a perfect jumping off point for exploring the North side of the island. The retreat center itself was very clean and welcoming. It has a great layout with open-air shared spaces and private rooms. At night we enjoyed the night sky in the hot tub and in the morning we appreciated waking up to a wonderful breakfast and roosters crowing. Wonderful surroundings, host, and stay.
Actually we stayed in room #3 with the corner window. I agree with all the previous comments. Wonderful place, Hilary Anne is terrific. What we also loved was the relaxed, independent, trusting atmosphere. Definitely, would recommend this place to anyone . It is also perfect for families with children. It was also immaculate .

The Kauai Retreat Center is even more beautiful than the pics! Such lovely land around the property, and Hilary is more than accommodating to her guests. I enjoyed waking up early for sunrise, listening to the chickens and roosters, and just generally enjoying the calming nature of this property. I've never felt so safe and at home, literally can't find a thing to complain about. Loved staying here, if I ever come back to Kauai I will definitely stay here!
we stayed for 1 night at hilary's place and enjoyed it bery much.the room was very spacious and clean.the place is just wonderful.hilary wrote back immediately and was a nice host.
Hilary's place is incredible. The view is just beyond imagination!
The place is my favourite airbnb on Kauai. The house is spacious with a big garden and the rooms are nicely decorated. The bed is HUGE and everything is very very clean. Hilary has a fancy jacuzzi that you can use and her kitchen is fully equipped. She leaves fresh local fruits in the kitchen for her guests. Guests can also use the BBQ and a lot of different beach stuff. Hilary was a great host. She always replied to my questions within minutes and I would recommend staying at this airbnb to everybody visting Kauai!
this place is amazing! everything about it was great.
Kauai Retreat Center was one of the most magical places where we stayed. We loved the outdoor patio and the breakfast included lots of choices, fresh fruit, cereals, bagels, yogurt. Everything is super clean. Hilary is a delightful host. The location is beautiful and very close to the east and north island beaches and attractions. It would also be a great place for a large family reunion. Highly recommended!
The retreat is a super comfortable place to stay, very quiet and relaxing, attracting very friendly, international, like-minded people. The rooms were clean, and kitchen very well equipped for cooking. Hilary was super friendly, responded very quickly to all my inquiries, and was even able to give me a ride to the retreat from near the airport when I didn't have a car yet (she happened to be in the neighborhood). She was also very helpful with giving me tips about activities to do in the area.
You must have rental car to access this place, and it is not close to any stores or businesses, which requires at least a 10 minute drive to get to, but there is a nice market selling all real food nearby in Kilauea. The location, however, is in many ways well placed in the middle of the northeastern side of the island with many attractions located nearby to the north and to the south.
One problem I do remember hearing from another guest couple in a different room was that their insect screens on the window had holes in them and they had one quite bad night being attacked by mosquitos. Best to double-check with Hilary or the current manager about this beforehand.
Thank you for the review David. I would like to clarify that the screens in the other room did not have holes in them. We had a strong wind storm the night before that room checked in and one screen was blown ajar causing a gap. Unfortunately the screen gap was overlooked by the cleaner that morning, so a mosquito got in and made an uncomfortable night for those guests. This was a very unusual occurrence and I have reminded the cleaners to always check the screens when cleaning. The cleaning that morning was unusually difficult because the power was out from the storm and there was much debris from the storm to clean up. We have high standards of upkeep and are very sorry for this unfortunate and very unusual occurrence.
We had a lovely 2-night stay at Hilary's. There was a good spread for breakfast (continental style with fruit, granola, yogurt, coffee, and pastries), lots of toys to use and borrow for the day (boogie boards, beach chairs and towels, masks and snorkels, and a ping-pong table! There was also a very friendly cat :)
