The Space

JUNE DATES NOW AVAILABLE
This is the top unit in a 2-unit house that borders the well known Little Italy Mercato farmers' market. Our downstairs unit stays busy with family, friends and Airbnb guests. Rent both units for big convention groups or family reunions.

You'll find plenty of windows, hardwood floors, comfortable couches and beds, dining table seating for 6, wireless internet and a desk if you need to keep up on work while you travel. There are 2 bedrooms with queen size beds, and a 3rd bedroom space when you close the privacy drapes and fold down the futon in the den. (We recently changed to a softer, larger futon in that room to respond to a guest's review. Comfy!)

One parking space is provided (available except Saturday from 6 am to 3 pm when the driveway is blocked for the farmers' market). The house makes a wonderful base for settling in and getting to know Little Italy with its many restaurants and shops, checking out downtown, or exploring San Diego's attractions. The area is urban-lite, bustling with restaurant-goers in the evenings and waking to the bells of the nearby historic church each morning.

We're just 3 blocks from the trolley station and conveniently close to the airport and Amtrak station. The San Diego Convention Center is a 15-20 minute walk or trolley or an inexpensive cab ride and the San Diego Zoo is nearby. Walk to the harbor, catch the ferry to Coronado, or take a bus to Pacific Ocean beaches. You'll need a car for Sea World or other far-flung attractions.

Please check House Rules section for holiday weekend minimums. Note check in and checkout times, but we'll be flexible if changes don't adversely affect guests departing before or arriving after your stay.

  • Staying in cats house was great, Catt is a really nice person and very helpful. The house is very close to the restaurants in little Italy and approximately a km to the gas lamp district. Simply a great place to stay!

  • Catt was very easy to work with and was very flexible with check in and check out times. I really enjoyed staying at her place. We had 6 people staying with us and everyone in my party was comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. We stayed during a weekend when they have the Farmers Market on Sunday that was fun being able to just walk out to the farmers market and shop.

  • 1- The house is smelly and incredibly hot inside no A/C.

2- I have never stayed such a dirty place in my life. Cup boards and everything inside are dirty. Table, coaches and bath tub are very dirty. Towels and sheets smell very bad. The toilet moves, you cannot sit on it properly. Very thin walls.

    3-Great location.

  • Great place in a very convenient location. We really enjoyed our stay in San Diego thanks to this apartment! Catt was very easy to communicate with, although out of town when we were there.

  • Great great location in little Italy! There are a bunch of restaurants and bars around, and right close to the farmer's market. We enjoyed our stay at Catt's apt. Catt is easy to communicate and very responsive. Catt offered a very detailed instruction of laundry, grocery stores and restaurants which is very considerate. Thanks!

  • Lovely apartment in a great location! Apartment was roomy with two double rooms and plenty of storage space. Open plan living room, lounge and dining room, and good sized kitchen. The weather was very hot when we visited so the apartment was pretty warm but the fans helped. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Great place central to everything. It was the perfect place to explore San Diego from. There were tons of great restaurants and bars nearby in Little Italy. The place itself was very nice and comfortable. Overall, a great deal in an awesome location.

  • This place is right in the middle of Little Italy with lots to see & do within walking distance! The chime of church bells & cute strings of lights right outside the windows made the experience extra festive. It was clean & cozy & we enjoyed the dvds & puzzles provided. Most def family friendly, as we felt right at home with our 4-year-old and 7-month-old in tow. Hope to stay here again one day!

  • This is a gem! Located 20 meters from Little Italy restaurants, pubs and cafés. The house is very comfortable including all the bits and pieces to make you feel right at home- parking is a bonus- note -no laundry facilities but only a short drive away. Thanks highly recommend :)
