The room is large, bright (7th floor), with window with spectacular views overlooking the Porticus Aemilia, a king size bed, a table and chairs, a leather armchair, wardrobe for clothes.
In Via Giovanni Branca 82. It is in the old district of Testaccio, where the historic and the contemporary join in a creative and unusual combination. Testaccio is also home to one of Rome's best and most colourful daily produce markets, and to a very trendy organic market. It's also packed with good restaurants, bars and nightclubs (though the flat is on the river side of the district, far away from the noise and confusion).
Macro Museum is 3 minute walking, Porta Portese 5 minute walking.
It's a 15-minute walk (five-minute bus ride) from FAO and handy for both Piramide / Ostiense and Trastevere stations. Very well connected also by buses. Trastevere is 5 minute walking.
Very well connected with Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport and Ciampino Airport too.
Internet wifi 24hours, bath with tub, sheets and towels available.
Address: Via Giovanni Branca, 82. 7th floor, elevator (please don't forget to close the elevator doors when you get off).
Near metro Piramide (B line).
83 Bus (to Stazione Ostiense, Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi, ecc.) down here.
Other buses to Colosseo, San Pietro, Piazza Navona, Campo de' Fiori, etc. in Via Marmorata (corner with Via Vanvitelli, three minutes walking from home).
From Fiumicino Airport Leonardo da Vinci you better take the train to Fara Sabina, it is quick and cheaper than the other one to Termini Station and you have to get off the train in Stazione Ostiense after 31 minutes.
From Stazione Ostiense you can take the bus 83 in Piazzale dei Partigiani (just in front the station) and get off after 6 stops when you see the big church Santa Maria Liberatrice. My apartment is just there around the corner.
Another bus is 30 for 2 stops ad get off via Marmorata. Via Giovanni Branca is in front of the bus stop.
There are also taxi in front of the Station.
If you haven't huge luggages you can easily walk from Stazione Ostiense and, if you like walk, it is definitely the best and cheaper way to reach the apartment.

i keep coming back to airbnb because of hosts like mario and apartments like his in testaccio. the location is so central, in the middle of THE foodie neighborhood, and mario is always so helpful when it comes to navigating rome and aspects of italian life. the apartment is spotless with an amazing kitchen, and a great place to use as a base to explore the real, not tourist, rome. highly, highly recommended :)
Had a great couple days stay here while exploring Rome. Testaccio is a really nice area that is relatively close to central but is not too crowded. Mario was a very helpful host.
I was a guest in a Mario's room for a weekend.
The apartment is bright, clean and equipped with every comfort. Mario has been made available in case I ever need. The Testaccio is the Rome I loved more! Thank you Mario! My first experience with Airbnb ... a great start!
Stay at Mario's flat is always a pleasure! Thanx again
Thank you Mario for having me! The apartment is fantastic and the room is big and clean. The view out window is awesome too. Mario is a very cool guy who is genuine and funny and made my stay in Rome a delight.
Mario's Apartment has a great vibe, and is in a great location in a non-touristy part of Rome. Getting there was easy, theres a metro stop 10-15 mins walk away. Getting out for food is easy, theres great coffee, pastries, and pizza, and beer all within 2 blocks, and there's a famous foody area about 15-20 mins stroll away. Likewise, all of the main sites are accessable by foot, or by metro.
The room is spacious and fresh - artwork on the walls, a nice big window, and a lovely big bed.
Mario is friendly and relaxed, with loads of useful advice if you need it - and he helped us out when we were in a bind, which we're very grateful for.
We are very, very happy we stayed here, we got to experience a very different side of Rome than our first visit, and we were very comfortable in the apartment.
Thanks again Mario!
Mario was a lovely host and his apartment had everything we needed especially a washing machine after a long time travelling around Europe! As well as a nice kitchen. He helped us whenever needed about places to see or eat. Thanks for having us Mario! :)
My 3rd stay at Mario's, everything perfect as always!
Mario is an incredible host and an incredible person! Extremely helpful, respectful and very organized: he keeps the house very clean and tidy (apart of being a very good cook). Testaccio - the neighborhood where the flat is located - is amazing - which provides a real Roman experience.
The flat is in front of a piazza (square) and a church, with several shops (including a grocery shop just across the street), as well as a great gelateria and is only 20min away from the city center, by metro. There are plenty of public transport possibilities nearby: buses, metro or train. The flat is very well located, in fact (just 10min walk from Trastevere).
I'll definitely come back once I'm in Rome again.
