This is a Fabulous 2 Bedroom Flat in the Heart of Tourist area of Sheung Wan. Fully Furnished, large beds, all you need for great holiday.
The apartment is of walking distance to the underground train (MTR), the closest station is the Sheung Wan MTR Station. It is also easy to get to the Macau Ferry, Hollywood Road, top restaurants and so much more. There is great transportation everywhere; taxi, trams, MTR, buses and so much within walking distance.
Great security and lift goes to your floor. The apartment has Wifi for FREE, a hair dryer, iron and basic toiletries are all in the apartment when you arrive.
As a bonus, there is a NEW indoor swimming pool just across the street (access to everyone for HKD19 a time) and a lovely park just next to it. Many of my guests have loved these facilities right in the middle of the city.
**In the past I have borrowed out adapters for FREE to guests as a courtesy and convenience, however, too many have not been returned (over 50) and I can no longer keep up with restocking. Unfortunately, I can't provide these for free but if necessary, will sell them AT COST (@HKD20) instead. Sorry that this gesture failed.
Guests have access to:
- FREE WiFi
- Cable TV
- Hair Dryer
- Iron/Ironing Board
- Microwave, Hot Water Boiler, Cooker
- Towels, Sheets, Toilet Paper, Shampoo, Soap, etc.
Interaction with Guests
As much as possible or invisible if you want. I will try to meet with arriving guests and show them the area. Whenever guests need information or recommendations, I am always available via messaging or phone.
The Sheung Wan neighbourhood is ever changing and a fantastic mix of "old' and "new" Hong Kong. This apartment is located in the heart of Hong Kong's commercial, cultural and shopping districts and within short walking distance to the subway and HK Macau Ferry Pier. A few minutes walk away from the harbour front and the fantastic Sun Yat Sun Memorial Park and Public swimming pool over look the world famous Victoria Harbor.
The Sheung Wan MTR station is but 8 min walking distance away that takes you all over Hong Kong and Kowloon. There are also buses, trams, minibuses that run near the doorstep of the building on Des Voeux Road West Road and take you to every corner of the island and beyond.
Other Things to Note
Once you arrive in Hong Kong, everything is quite simple and all starts with a call from the FREE phones at the airport located in the hall immediately after you pass through baggage customs. There is also a Visitors Center there if you would like to pick up some maps, local travel guides, etc. to read on your way to the apartment. If you need a local SIM card, there is a 7-11 in the middle section of the main arrival hall where they see all types of SIM cards, I usually prefer the PCCW brand as it is the larges local operator.
This is a Strictly NON SMOKING Flat.
UPON ARRIVAL AT PROPERTY, ALL GUESTS MUST WAIT FOR ME AT THE FRONT GATE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING. BUILDING RESIDENTS WILL COMPLAIN TO PROPERTY MANAGEMENT IF THE LOBBY AREA INSIDE BUILDING IS BLOCKED. THANKS FOR YOUR KIND UNDERSTANDING FOR AN ENJOYABLE STAY.
Check in time is AFTER 12:30 pm. Make sure to contact us by phone at least 30 minutes prior to arrival such that we can meet you at the flat to hand you the keys and acquaint you to the surroundings. As this is a family business, please try your best to arrive at the apartment as early as possible. After 11:30pm as transport to the apartment is limited for us, we have to charge HKD150 to cover our taxi transport cost to and from the apartment. We are generally exhausted at the end of the day and we really would rather you arrive early and not have to charge this.
Guests must wait for us OUTSIDE the building upon arrival and not enter the building without us as this causes unnecessary misunderstandings with the property management and residents of the buildings.
Check out time is STRICT at 11:00 am. NO EXCEPTIONS or you will be charged for an extra full day. Our cleaning crew will arrive at 11:00 am to service the flat for the next guest, thanks for your cooperation.
Please help us save the environment by turning off electrical appliances when leaving the apartment or not using them.
Water heater needs to be turned off when not using. If it breaks due to prolonged time left on, you will not have any hot water for your stay and will be subject to expensive repair charges.
In the case that you have an evening departure flight:
Please note that you can check in your luggage at anytime during the same day as your flight at the Hong Kong Station Airport Express, which is only a 5 minute taxi or bus ride from the apartment. That way you would be free to explore the city on your last day, not having to worry about your luggage or rushing to the airport since you have already checked in, you will not have to be at the airport as early as everyone else.
All airlines flying from Hong Kong airport offer In Town check in, EXCEPT the following:
Jetstar Asia Airlines
Location is pretty good, near dindin tram stop, bus stop, Hong Kong - Macau Ferry Terminal and Sheung Wan metro station. The place is small, especially the bathroom(Hong Kong style) and hot water needs to be waited every 10-15 minutes. A little bit noisy at night and in the morning because the place is near freeways and roads.
The location of the place is good, near to tram station (the nearest tram station is Sutherland St towards Kennedy Town direction), 10-15 mins walk to Sheung Wan MTR & HK Macau Ferry Terminal.
Room is tiny, especially after you expanded the sofa bed in the living area. Toilet is smaller than you think but it's still ok to use. Although the flat is just next to main road, but the noise from outside is still bearable as the traffic is not so busy especially during night time. Bring earplugs if you're really sensitive to sound.
There are a lot char chan teng (HK cafes/eateries) nearby and a convenience store downstairs, a famous dim sum restaurant is just one block behind.
Fast response host and my family and I are overall satisfied with our stay.
We spent three nights here with our three kids. The location is fantastic with easy access to everything in Hong Kong and all the arrangements about checking in and out were very smooth. The flat is very very tiny and best suited really just to sleeping in, as there aren't proper facilities for cooking and eating and so little space. The hosts are accommodating and responded quickly to requests.
Did not meet host. Was brought to the apartment by a foreign- looking guy. Space is small but is expected of in HK. Bathroom really uncomfortable as the shower compartment too tiny and the door is near transparent. Be careful of the shower handle as it was hot.

I was born in California and raised in Hong Kong. Went to college in the states and returned to Hong Kong a few years ago. I absolutely love travelling around the region but Hong Kong has always welcomed me home and I look forward to showing off my home town and sharing all the little insights and local specialities with all my guests!
