About this listing
This is a Fabulous 2 Bedroom Flat in the Heart of Tourist area of Sheung Wan. Fully Furnished, large beds, all you need for great holiday.
The apartment is of walking distance to the underground train (MTR), the closest station is the Sheung Wan MTR Station. It is also easy to get to the Macau Ferry, Hollywood Road, top restaurants and so much more. There is great transportation everywhere; taxi, trams, MTR, buses and so much within walking distance.
Great security and lift goes to your floor. The apartment has Wifi for FREE, a hair dryer, iron and basic toiletries are all in the apartment when you arrive.
As a bonus, there is a NEW indoor swimming pool just across the street (access to everyone for HKD19 a time) and a lovely park just next to it. Many of my guests have loved these facilities right in the middle of the city.
**In the past I have borrowed out adapters for FREE to guests as a courtesy and convenience, however, too many have not been returned (over 50) and I can no longer keep up with restocking. Unfortunately, I can't provide these for free but if necessary, will sell them AT COST (@HKD20) instead. Sorry that this gesture failed.
Guests have access to:
- FREE WiFi
- Cable TV
- Hair Dryer
- Iron/Ironing Board
- Microwave, Hot Water Boiler, Cooker
- Towels, Sheets, Toilet Paper, Shampoo, Soap, etc.
Interaction with Guests
As much as possible or invisible if you want. I will try to meet with arriving guests and show them the area. Whenever guests need information or recommendations, I am always available via messaging or phone.
The Sheung Wan neighbourhood is ever changing and a fantastic mix of "old' and "new" Hong Kong. This apartment is located in the heart of Hong Kong's commercial, cultural and shopping districts and within short walking distance to the subway and HK Macau Ferry Pier. A few minutes walk away from the harbour front and the fantastic Sun Yat Sun Memorial Park and Public swimming pool over look the world famous Victoria Harbor.
The Sheung Wan MTR station is but 8 min walking distance away that takes you all over Hong Kong and Kowloon. There are also buses, trams, minibuses that run near the doorstep of the building on Des Voeux Road West Road and take you to every corner of the island and beyond.
Other Things to Note
Once you arrive in Hong Kong, everything is quite simple and all starts with a call from the FREE phones at the airport located in the hall immediately after you pass through baggage customs. There is also a Visitors Center there if you would like to pick up some maps, local travel guides, etc. to read on your way to the apartment. If you need a local SIM card, there is a 7-11 in the middle section of the main arrival hall where they see all types of SIM cards, I usually prefer the PCCW brand as it is the larges local operator.
This is a Strictly NON SMOKING Flat.
UPON ARRIVAL AT PROPERTY, ALL GUESTS MUST WAIT FOR ME AT THE FRONT GATE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING. BUILDING RESIDENTS WILL COMPLAIN TO PROPERTY MANAGEMENT IF THE LOBBY AREA INSIDE BUILDING IS BLOCKED. THANKS FOR YOUR KIND UNDERSTANDING FOR AN ENJOYABLE STAY.
Check in time is AFTER 12:30 pm. Make sure to contact us by phone at least 30 minutes prior to arrival such that we can meet you at the flat to hand you the keys and acquaint you to the surroundings. As this is a family business, please try your best to arrive at the apartment as early as possible. After 11:30pm as transport to the apartment is limited for us, we have to charge HKD150 to cover our taxi transport cost to and from the apartment. We are generally exhausted at the end of the day and we really would rather you arrive early and not have to charge this.
Guests must wait for us OUTSIDE the building upon arrival and not enter the building without us as this causes unnecessary misunderstandings with the property management and residents of the buildings.
Check out time is STRICT at 11:00 am. NO EXCEPTIONS or you will be charged for an extra full day. Our cleaning crew will arrive at 11:00 am to service the flat for the next guest, thanks for your cooperation.
Please help us save the environment by turning off electrical appliances when leaving the apartment or not using them.
Water heater needs to be turned off when not using. If it breaks due to prolonged time left on, you will not have any hot water for your stay and will be subject to expensive repair charges.
In the case that you have an evening departure flight:
Please note that you can check in your luggage at anytime during the same day as your flight at the Hong Kong Station Airport Express, which is only a 5 minute taxi or bus ride from the apartment. That way you would be free to explore the city on your last day, not having to worry about your luggage or rushing to the airport since you have already checked in, you will not have to be at the airport as early as everyone else.
All airlines flying from Hong Kong airport offer In Town check in, EXCEPT the following:
Jetstar Asia Airlines
We had a great time staying in this location!
We were a bit late on our original meeting time to check into the place, but once we got internet and sent a msg Brend was able to send someone to let us check in.
This apt is very close to a lot of dope things! You have the piers about a 3min walk away, food galore about 2 blocks down, you can walk to most major stations as well as cool night life stuff in the Sheung Wan area.
We would mos def book this place again!
The apartment itself was very clean and the mtr station was just five minutes away. The beds were totally comfortable and we had a nice stay.
Just want to mention that the washing machine did not work, Brend told me he would send someone to check it, sad it did not happen so I had to wash my clothes by myself.
The place is great. The neighborhood is very old Hong Kong and has a lot of charm. Host was dry helpful.
Contacted Brend on the way from the airport and was met by his representative on our arrival. He was friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. The apartment was clean and comfortable and suited our needs although my 2 traveling companions were a bit too big for the bathroom. Such is apartment living in Hong Kong. We were all satisfied with the accommodation and would not hesitate to stay there on our next visit to HK.
It was fabulous having Mike and his friends stay with us here in Hong Kong. Thanks for choosing us. Wonderful you had such a great time and we hope to meet you again soon.
I checked the listing; it states that check in is at noon; check out is 11 am. We haven't changed it; we have a lot of guests following after you leave, so we have to get into the flats for cleaning. We're so sorry.
I booked another apartment but last minute the host by the name of Jing screwed up so the first night we had to scramble to find a hotel and started scouting for another apt..Brend's apt was a life saver, she accepted my booking just few hours before we checked in so had to thank her for that. although personally I would have preferred a nicer place, Brend's apt was fairly ok for us. The toilet was really small and the whole apt is really small but I guess that's the standards in Hongkong. Overall was ok and met the minimum standards. The MTR was a bit far about 10mins walk and if you have small kids traveling with u its not that convenient but should be no problem for adults..
We had a great stay in Hong Kong thanks to Brendan. The location of the apartment is definitely great. Very close to LKF and Soho. Brendan was very easy to contact and quick to respond. Aside from a minor issue with a leak in the bathroom everything was fabulous! Definitely recommend Brendan and this apartment.
Location is pretty good, near dindin tram stop, bus stop, Hong Kong - Macau Ferry Terminal and Sheung Wan metro station. The place is small, especially the bathroom(Hong Kong style) and hot water needs to be waited every 10-15 minutes. A little bit noisy at night and in the morning because the place is near freeways and roads.

About the Host, Brend
I was born in California and raised in Hong Kong. Went to college in the states and returned to Hong Kong a few years ago. I absolutely love travelling around the region but Hong Kong has always welcomed me home and I look forward to showing off my home town and sharing all the little insights and local specialities with all my guests!
