Welcome to Rivendell Hideaway, a multilevel home with expansive views of Canyon Lake and Hillsides. Our 5-BR 2.5 Bath home is the perfect lake vacation home. Relax outside on one of three decks or by the fire pit. On the lake's Southside, in the heart of the Hill Country, it is close to Gruene, Austin, & San Antonio. It's one block away from boat ramp 1, and in between both Marinas. Nearby there is boating, tubing, fishing, & hiking. Something for everyone!

MASTER BEDROOM
Located on the second floor is the spacious Master bedroom. This room has its own balcony with expansive view of the lake and hills. Relax, watch TV or enjoy the views on the king-sized bed. The large windows give the room a lot of natural light, but the blackout curtains make it easy to sleep in. Directly across from the bed is a large open sink area. The toilet and tub/shower are separate to make it more convenient for multiple people getting ready. The expansive panoramic views from this vantage point are unsurpassed! Enjoy the balcony with spectacular views that will give you the "away from it all; lake life feel."
MIDDLE SPLIT RIGHT BEDROOM
Up a few steps from the living room is a middle split section of the home. The bedroom to the right is a fantastic room with a Queen sized bed. The blackout curtains in this room make it ideal for sleeping late. It shares a bathroom with the other room on this floor.

Up a few steps from the living room is a middle split section of the home. The bedroom on your left down the hall is a fantastic room with a queen-sized bed. The blackout curtains in this room make it ideal for sleeping late. This room shares a full bathroom with the other bedroom on this floor.
BASEMENT BEDROOMS
Down a flight of stairs to the left of the main entrance is an open concept sleeping and living area. As you walk down, you will see two twin beds, past that is a living area with a couch and TV. Partially blocked off and down a couple of steps is another bedroom with a queen bed. This room has lots of games and books for everyone to enjoy.
HALF BATH/LAUNDRY ROOM
Between the stairs and twin beds is a half bathroom/ laundry room. Full-sized washer and dryer for your convenience. The basement is excellent for a family or an awesome place for kids to stay.
If you would like to exclude the basement from your rental and not use this area, we will give you a discounted price.
LIVING ROOM/DINING AREA
The open concept dining and living area is an excellent place for the whole family to sit, relax, watch tv, and enjoy the views. The large comfortable sectional is placed in the room for optimal lake/ hill views and TV watching. The rocking chairs are best for watching TV or turn them around and enjoy the views while reading a book or chatting. The large flat-screen TV is placed over the fireplace to make it comfortable watching from anywhere in the room.
KITCHEN
This fully equipped kitchen has everything you need to cook a fantastic meal for your friends and family. Cabinets are labeled, so no more searching for items. The kitchen is laid out with everything close by for easy cooking. While cooking a meal, don't forget to take a second to stop and enjoy the view from the window.
Deck/ Balcony/Grill/ Fire Pit/Outside Shower
DECK/BALCONY
There is a balcony connected to the upstairs master bedroom. This area has the most expansive views in the house. The lower deck wraps around the whole front side of the house. This area has relaxing chairs facing out to the hills and water. The spacious deck has enough chairs for everyone. If you are from the city, night time is special here. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous night sky lit up with stars, planets, and meteorites. It's a peaceful, breathtaking sight!
GRILL/ OUTSIDE DINING
IT'S TIME TO GRILL!!
On the side of the home is another deck area with a large grill and eating area. It is conveniently shaded by trees for afternoon grilling and relaxation. Enjoy a meal outside at the large dining table.
FIRE PIT
The fire pit is on the side of the property, just a few short steps away from the main entrance to the house. This is an excellent area for everyone to enjoy roasting marshmallows under the night sky. The trees in this area leave a gap for stargazing while sitting by the fire.
Please check to see if there is a burn ban in effect before using the fire pit.
OUTSIDE SHOWER
There is an outside shower for someone to rinse off after a long day at the lake or river!

Our staff is sanitizing with medical-grade disinfectants and following CDC guidelines. To give you some peace of mind while you are staying in Rivendell Hideaway. Our regular cleaning is a deep clean every time; we also replace all linens, bedspreads, blankets, towels, mats, and small rugs. Now, since the COVID 19 outbreak, we are also going behind our cleaning team, disinfecting every touchable surface with alcohol or Odoban as well as spraying the couch and large rugs with Odoban. It is an environmentally friendly hospital-grade disinfectant that has a slight lavender smell. We hope this can give you some peace of mind during your stay. If you have any other questions about our cleaning practices, do not hesitate to ask.
