Check In
  • Tor and his staff are just as nice as everybody says. Helpful accommodating and try his best to make you feel comfortable.
What you see is what you get. Clean and convenient close to BTS and Robinson Dept store with Tops the supermarket.
A lot of shops in Charoen Krun and especially for ladies that are interested in fabrics. Beautiful silk and cotton.
I recommend the place both for the price and convenience.

  • The apartment is around the corner from sirocco sky bar and proved to be a nice and comfortable base for my time in Bangkok. Tor was an excellent host. I couldn't have asked for more. He helped me travel around and gave lots of tips and ideas for places to visit.

  • Fantastic location. And location is important in Bangkok. Close to ferry, sky train and major road connections. Very clean and bright. All things work as advertised. Tor is a jewel who will help with anything and everything to make your stay comfortable. The only downside is that it is an older building with older interiors. The view was of a wall of another building. It had a smell of mold that , while not bad, was ever present. I would recommend this place for location, Tor and price alone. Good stop.

  • As newcomers to AirBnB and the city of Bangkok, Tor and his staff provided my boyfriend and I with an outstanding experience. We were thrilled by Sathorn Terrace's location: a stone's throw from the street food delights of Charoen Krung, with easy access to the Chao Phraya ferry and BTS Skytrain. The studio apartment was immaculate; the television was an added bonus with multiple soccer channels, BBC, DW, TV5Monde, and more! Most of all we were overwhelmed by the kindness and hospitality of everyone at Sathorn Terrace. Tor has set a high standard for AirBnB lodgings and we can't wait to come back.

  • I stayed in BKK for 5 days, it was my first time in Asia and Tor was very welcoming. His excellent English helped a lot in communication, he was there to answer every question and gave me priceless qdvice on how to experience BKK as a local (I encourage everyone to follow his recommendation on massage and food, great value for money. The apartment in itself was clean, A/C was working great and there was fresh drinking water provided every day. The location is also perfect, less than 5 minutes to the Chao Praya Central Pier, from where you can get really fast to the Wats, and to the BTS station, the train getting you quickly to the most important sites. There is no b-fast included or any restaurant int he building, but that shouldn't be a problem, since on the main street near the apartment there are plenty of food vendors and you can find easily fresh fruit and veggies and all sorts of Thai dishes. I definitely recommend staying at Tor's.

  • I only stayed at tor's place one night. The room is well furnished and relaxed. In the middle of where you want to be. I didn't meet Tor but communication was good! Thanks!

  • Location: Escape@Sathorn Terrace is conveniently located within 3 minutes walking-distance from BTS Saphan Thaksin and the ferry pier. It is not a pure tourist area which - for me - is a plus. However, if you want to indulge, Mandarian Oriental is walking distance and Asiatic Nightmarket can be reached with shuttle boat from the pier. Even the highway is close by which safes tons of time if you need to go by car.

Room: I stayed in a Studio appartment. My room was clean and located to the back of the building. As a consequence it was quiet. Not sure about the noise levels in rooms toward the street. Ask Tor for a room towards the back. The studio was big (40squ) and as described on the webpage.

Service: I stayed for 4 weeks. Once a week cleaning is included. No other service. Tor, however, is a great host and supports you in every way you need. The staff at Sathorn Terrace is super friendly and always helpful. You can do your laundry using machines at the ground floor which I found quite convenient.

Overall verdict: Take it. I have been to many places in BKK. The location is convenient. The price is hard to beat for a shortterm to 3 months stay. Sure you can go the Ascott serviced appartments - you will get more there. But price is 3-fold. Same for budget hotels. I think I-Residence and BKK-Heritag are direct competitors as they are next to BTS Chong Nonsi. They cost much more per night but you get Hotel service. Nevertheless, I would always recommend Escape@Sathorn Terrace over these hotels. (And I am not getting kick-backs...)
