Welcome to our home -We have lovingly restored this grade II * Queen Anne house and live here with our Evvie, Dougal and Wilfie our labradoodle. We are offering you to hire the house in its entirety. If you like watersports, food and gardens you will love this.

We have sandy and pebble beaches with Stand Up Paddle Boarding, surfing and kite surfing locally all within 20 mins drive. The Times voted Whitstable, Margate and Deal as have having 3 of UK's 30, best beach restaurants.

The space
The house is very comfortable and has a lot of natural light and big windows. There is a family kitchen as well as two large reception rooms and a rectangular shaped hall with a long table which seats 10-12 people. There is a Sonos sound system in the house.

There are large gardens with lawns, two ponds with lily pads and lots of pretty, established trees, plants and flowers. There is a long herbaceous border to the front and a pretty white garden at the rear of the house.

In summer you can watch the sun go down over the back garden from the kitchen and sit on the terrace next to the fountain and have a BBQ or evening drinks and dinner.

We have a large fire brazier / fire bowl, which is good for BBQ's or just as a log fire in the garden.

The back garden is full of lovely english flowers such as foxtail lilies, white hydrangea, Cosmos, bearded iris, wisteria, Allium, cardoons, peonies and there is a vegetable garden where grow courgettes, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, as well as herbs.

There is a lawn to the rear which is great for sunbathing as it get sun most of the afternoon and evening and there is an avenue of lime trees and some cherry and chestnut trees which are great for some shade too.

We have a lovely boho swing chair which is suspended from the old Ash tree and a king-size day bed for relaxing in the sun.

We have plenty of private parking and a quintessentially British country pub within 2 minutes walking distance from the front drive. We can provide fully catered accommodation, with cleaners and concierge if required. (Breakfast and any catering would be optional and additional).

There some great local walks along the river and to a very pretty village church to explore.

We are lucky enough to have an award winning independent village butcher 5 minutes away, as well as organic vegetable and farm shops, 10 -15 mins away. There are some great local bakeries and a fantastic nursery garden with cafe in the next door village.

Kitchen basics are included, so we have all the pans, pots, cutlery, glasswear, crockery, serving dishes. You are welcome to use things in the cupboard, ie, olive oil, cooking oils, salt, pepper, flour, herbs, spices etc if you need them.

The garden also has fresh herbs, ie parsley, mint, oregano, fennel and some basil. We also have a vegetable garden so you are welcome to use some of the vegetables - since we are away, you guys should enjoy them.

We have a gardener who comes two mornings a week. She is absolutely lovely and will keep out of your way completely. Her name is Sarah and she works on Tuesday and Fridays from 9am -1pm and she will park around the back. If you have any questions about the garden etc, she will be very happy to help. Sharon is another lady who will come and cut the grass and water the pots and vegetables - she will also keep well out of your way and is discreet.

Guest access
We do not live on site and you will have access to the entire house and gardens. There are 2.2 acres of gardens - The largest lawn is at the front of the house, where there is a long lawn and fenced off lily pond. There is a long herbacious border to the front of the house.

There is a large flat lawn to the side of the house also.

Other things to note
We are 15 minutes drive from the hipster seaside towns of Margate & Broadstairs and 20 minutes drive from Canterbury, in an idyllic, quintessentially British setting. The pebble beaches trendy Deal are 20-25 minutes away, where there are cool cafes, restaurants and lots of independent curiosity and antique and clothes shops.

Bed linens are provided, ie, bed sheets, duvets with duvet covers, pillows with pillow cases and towels.
