About This Listing
We offer our Casita, located on a street which leads to gorgeous trails and waterfalls. Our Casita offers lots of light and a beautiful garden set in an intimate and nurturing environment of peaceful silence. The Casita is located on a sweet piece of land, providing a space of reflection and contemplation; a place where we can admire, connect, and enjoy nature through silence and the sound of running water from our creek that runs right by our property. (seasonal)
While you enjoy our 100% non toxic Hot-tub water into a therapeutic mineral bath during the day, you will see all our nature friends such as woodpeckers, stellar jays, red tail hawks and other different kinds of tiny birds. Deer often cruise through and in the Spring season, you will see baby deer as well. Our hot tub is surrounded by a gazebo type structure with vines providing you with privacy. If you decide to use our Hot-tub at night time, you will enjoy magnificent star gazing. Since we are surrounded by trees and not much artificial lighting, the stars are bright and breathtaking. To top off the quiet of the night, the stars, the smell of fresh earth, the sound of running water from the creek, you will always hear an orchestra of crickets, and if you are lucky you will hear our friend the owl who lives close by.
This quiet studio is surrounded by our beautiful private garden. When you open the door to the studio, you will find a bedroom with big windows, flooding the room with light and giving you a beautiful view to the garden. It has a comfortable bed with Tempurpedic mattress with soft linens and down comforter. The Salita has a comfortable couch to watch movies and a flat screen TV, don’t worry we have Wi-Fi! We had a wonderful time at Ana and Mario's Casita. They were very helpful hosts. The Casita was immaculate and very well appointed. The bed was one of the best and the linens etc very nice. We did not have a chance to use the Hot Tub, so we look forward to returning and trying it out.
Our stay with Ana and Mario Bravo was absolutely delightful and was everything that was promised. We have travelled extensively in the US, UK and Europe and discovered this spot to be among the best. The casita appeared to be new construction, interior was comfy and the design pleasing. Surroundings were well kept -gardens in full bloom. The hot tub looked inviting. The neighborhood is one I know well and love - beautiful tree-lined streets and very quiet. We can't wait to return!
The casita was very cozy and in an adorable neighborhood a short bike ride from downtown. We loved that hiking paths started just down the road and coming home to the hot tub at night. Great place to relax and unwind! Ana was very responsive to any questions. She added cute touches to the casita - flowers on the table, coffee for the morning - and was friendly and sweet whenever we saw her. Will gladly come back another weekend!
I loved my stay at Anna and Mario's The Casita is immaculate! It's very private and quiet, beautifully decorated and the bed was really comfy. The gardens are just beautiful, you look out a wall of glass french doors and see a profusion of color. It does not have a "kitchenette" but a fully appointed kitchen including a dish washer and full sized frig so no issues producing a nice meal if one chooses. Nice outdoor table and hot tub. I'd highly recommend it.
A great find, even better than photos and description. The casita was very close to hiking trails and the setting was tranquil and relaxing. Out adult daughters visited us here and wanted to move in. Well equipped kitchen and inviting bed and privacy ( not to mention the whirlpool and garden.)
This is a great place to stay in a very cool town with amazing outdoor opportunities to hike, bike and find excellent food and friends. We admit to a bias as we lived here for 20+ years and were on a return trip to visit friends and family.
The casita is well done and in a beautiful setting. Walk down the country road in front and into a park and along a stream with a waterfall at the end. There is a nice private salt water hot tub to soak in after a hike.
Ana met us on check in and provided a good overview of how to use everything. Wifi was fast and reliable. They also had hiking maps and information on the area. The place looks as described and is much much better than being in a hotel in town.
Don't miss the local music scene in Fairfax with 3 venues with live acts every night. Lots of coffee spots and a great wine bar too on Bolinas Avenue. Hike Pams Blue Ridge for a big view (close by) or drive up to the top of Mt Tam (you are just off the road up). Catch the bus in town to the SF Ferry and avoid the drive and find parking hassle.
We enjoyed our time and had great chats with Ana about traveling the world.
Peaceful and serene as described. Ana is a wonderful host and was helpful throughout our two night stay. Excellent cottage for a weekend getaway with plenty of daytime trails and eateries.
