About this listing
A condo for the traveler who enjoys the quiet and serenity of privacy while still being close to fine dining and cultural activities.
My luxurious adobe vacation home, “San Juan”, is located in the exclusive and private community of Pueblo Encantado in Tesuque, New Mexico just minutes from the center of Santa Fe. This traditional adobe home is nestled in the hills of the Sangre de Cristo and Jemez Mountain ranges adjacent to Tesuque Indian Tribal land. “San Juan” sits on the most prime location of this prestigious community offering the best 180 degree unobstructed sunset views of the peaceful and serene Jemez Mountains. This beautiful home has been completely redecorated to the highest standards in the unique Santa Fe style, featuring the owner’s private collection of New Mexican photography. “San Juan” comfortably sleeps four in the two well-appointed bedrooms including luxurious 400 count sheets and can accommodate up to four.
Staying in Tesuque makes your visit to Santa Fe memorable and unique because you can enjoy both privacy and accessibility. You have the option of feeling totally isolated, surrounded by the stillness and beauty of the New Mexican sky, while at the same time being close enough to enjoy a variety of activities.
A short stroll across the road among Chapparel and Pinon brings you to the Four Seasons Rancho Encantado Resort to enjoy a drink or 5 Star dining and pampered spa treatments.
In less than five minutes you can experience the fine culture of the famous Santa Fe Opera or hunt for unexpected treasures, jewelry and antiques at the weekend Tesuque Flea Market. Only 15 minutes from the colorful Santa Fe Plaza, you can buy handmade jewelry directly from Native American Artisans or you can shop and dine in world-renowned galleries and restaurants to return to the privacy and serenity of “San Juan” for the stunning sunset views. Or if you choose, relax at home enjoying our tranquil pool and surroundings or just walk across the road for pampering spa treatments and 5 star dining at the Auberge Encantado Resort and Spa. There’s also the renowned El Nido Restaurant, a favorite for the opera crowd. For more casual fare, join the locals in outdoor dining at the vibrant Tesuque Village Market.

I have been to Santa Fe many times, but this experience was by far the best all because of Leslie's beautiful condo. Perfectly secluded, private, beautiful, exceptionally maintained, I hope to return again next year and would not hesitate to rent from Leslie. The view from the patio is worth the price alone.
Leslie was most communicative and helpful with any questions I had. A 5-star experience for me.
The condo was fantastic much better then the photos! Excellent location and so happy we stayed there instead of in town.
We had a wonderful time at Leslie's place in Santa Fe. It was exactly like described. The attention to details, whether the art on the walls or the super comfortable beds and linens, was apparent every where.
The condo is about 15-20 minutes outside of town and it feels like you're in the middle of the desert. There is a beautiful view from the patio and you can walk out onto the surrounding desert to watch the sunset or stroll. The other condos are towards the back so it really does feel like you have the whole desert for yourself!
Leslie was exceptionally kind and responsive and made sure we had all of the information we needed. She went out of her way to make sure we'd feel welcome and well taken care of. Thank you!
We'll definitely be back.
This was a FANTASTIC place to stay!!!
I took my mother to Santa Fe for Thanksgiving. While we have both been to Santa Fe many times, and stayed in some of the best hotels, we never enjoyed our stay as much as we did at Leslie's incredible home.
The entire ambiance of Leslie's home is so warm, cozy and welcoming. The color scheme and the furnishings are great. And the beds...well, it is difficult to find beds more comfortable than these.
Leslie has thought of everything that a visitor might need to know and she has prepared a very nice notebook to keep you informed and up-to-date.
I appreciated very much being "out in the country" without any neighbors...and yet being so close to the Plaza in the center of Santa Fe. It is so convenient (by car) and takes only about 12 minutes from door to central parking. So after a nice day of shopping and art and great restaurants, then you get to come "Home" and get away from everything.
Since we were here in November, we did not even look at the pool so I can't give any opinion about the pool. But we did enjoy some sunshine on the terrace and the wonderful Santa Fe days and evenings.
My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. We only stayed for 3 nights and we ate out each evening at fabulous restaurants in Santa Fe, but this would really be a relaxing place to stay for a longer period and then just sit around and enjoy the fireplaces and have a candlelight dinner some evenings. In fact, my mother told me: "Please just pay for the entire year and then come back and get me next Thanksgiving!".
I did not get a chance to check out the Four Seasons Resort across the street, but it is literally less than a five minute walk to arrive at the spa or restaurants there.
Finally, I think that Leslie was a great host. She was very easy to work with in arranging the stay. Most of all, I can tell that Leslie is very good about accepting guests who are respective of her home and who will take care of the place as if it is their own second home.
If you plan on having a car during your visit to Santa Fe, do yourself a favor and stay here. That way you can have the best of both worlds...then central life in downtown Santa Fe and the great ambiance of this wonderful home.
Our stay at the condo was everything we hoped it would be and more! Leslie's directions and instructions were clear and concise and we had no troubles finding things, etc. The condo itself is lovely, comfortable and spacious. It had everything we needed. The surroundings are beautiful and quintessentially Santa Fe style in a natural setting. We had no trouble going into town as the drive was short and enjoyable. We had a fantastic time and plan to stay there again in the future!
Our stay in Santa Fe was truly exceptional and this was primarily due to Leslie's fantastic house. It was very comfortable and the location is really great. It was so nice to be able to enjoy an evening outside on the terrace. The house is fully equipped with everything one might need and really tastefully decorated. Thank you !!!
Leslie was a great host and made everything very clear which smoothed logistics. The place was exactly as represented and made for a really nice retreat. The location is about 15 minutes from downtown Santa Fe which I was worried would create a hassle but it was the opposite. There was a sense of solitude and peace that we would have not found closer in. And the drive is mostly a straight path on a highway. The unit was very nicely done and had a wonderful fire place and living room area. The master bedroom was the highlight. There is a nice chair there for reading.
I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great place to stay that is peaceful and centrally located (it is actually right across from the Four Season's resort).

Favorite Guest? Folks who leave a light footprint and with a kick back, laid back style. Good sober story tellers, no mindless chatter. Pick up after themselves and hang the wet towels up. And people who love the earth, the sunsets, the birds, the howl of coyotes at night.
