“The Artists Loft/Gallery” has three bedrooms and one bath and you get the entire apartment to yourself.
My loft is a ten minute walk to the 18th street subway station (Chicago Transit Authority [CTA] Pink Line). The neighborhood has a vibrant Hispanic community and is full of galleries, vintage shops, and unique murals. Within walking distance of my apartment are great restaurants, grocery store, taquerías, bars, artist studios, coffee shops, the National Museum of Mexican Art, and the Chicago Arts District. The neighborhood is very safe and welcoming. Pilsen offers an exclusive nightlife, like no other neighborhood in Chicago. It is a very bicycle and pedestrian friendly area. I am 3.5 miles from Millenium Park.
From my apartment you can easily walk or catch a bus or “the L” train to destinations like UIC, University Village, McCormick Center, the Medical District, and Downtown Chicago. The Pink Line is a short 10 min. walk from my building. The Chicago Transportation Authority lists bus and train schedules on their website.
Drivers -Free street parking is generally available on Carpenter Street and 16th Street. Be mindful of posted street cleaning days during which parking is prohibited. Parking on 17th street is by permit only. Parking tickets in Chicago are $60 per ticket. I offer a private parking space behind my building for $20 a day.
Taxi-Taxicab fare from O’hare airport is $40 and from Midway airport is $20. A taxi to Millenium Park would be $12
“The Artists Loft/Gallery” offers the perfect home base whether you are in Chicago for a business trip, family vacation or you are booking accommodations for your employees for a conference. “The Artists Loft/ Gallery” is located on the ground floor at the back of the building. You need to use the back entrance if you don’t want to use the stairs. It has 3 bedrooms, two private bedrooms and one semi private loft space and 1 full bathroom with tub/shower. I only use 100% cotton sheets and towels. My apartment has central heat and AC, ceiling fans, 3 Queen-sized beds, wireless internet, and a lending library. There is a coin operated laundry room in the building. I also provide an iron, ironing board, and a hairdryer.
Room Number 1 ~ The Sunrise Room has a very comfortable pillow-top queen size bed and a vintage chair, vintage school desk as a nightstand, lamp, and a closet for hanging your garments. This bright room with a 15' ceiling and exposed brick walls has beautiful silk curtains, a mirror, and a remote controlled ceiling fan.
Room Number 2 ~The Sunset Room has a very comfortable queen size bed, an upholstered chair, and vintage school desks as night stands. There is also a mirror, ample lighting, and a closet for hanging your garments. The room has exposed brick walls and a 15' ceiling with a remote controlled ceiling fan.

The Loft Suite is located on the second floor of the apartment. It is a cozy loft space with a half-wall overlooking the dining room. Frosted vintage windows create a semi-private wall. The loft has a comfortable queen size bed, a comfortable chair, a handcrafted maple coffee table, a mirror, a floor fan, and an armoire for hanging your garments.
You are renting the entire loft.
I typically do the check-in. Sometimes depending on the scheduling you might have to do a self check in. And you do a self check out.
It's a 10 minute walk to the California pink line or public system for transportation is called CTA
The number 60 bus is on the corner of blue Island and 18th St. which takes you right to Millinium Park and the Chicago Cultural Center/tourist office.

The loft was absolutely perfect for my girls weekend in Chicago, and Nicole was a truly gracious host! She gave tons of great recommendations of places to go in the neighborhood and kept in touch periodically to make sure everything was working out well! I would definitely go back to her place! Thank you so much!
We were stuck in a great blizzard, and Nicole not only responded in minutes, she spent some time with us to make sure we knew where we could go on foot in the storm. It was a delightful artist haven, clean, modern, light, and airy. Clean, amazing, and clearly a destination for any future Chicago stay.
By the end of our stay, the whole stranded crew started counting our blessings that we ended up caught in the storm. Imagine that!
My family and I had the best time staying at Nicole's apartment. It was beautiful, comfortable, and very well located. We were 6 and we spent Christmas there and we had plenty of room to cook. The neighborhood was great too. Nicole was the best host, very helpful and flexible, I highly recommend her apartment.
We have had a great stay in Chicago! Nicole was a fantastic host! We will definitely come back:)
Thanks for a great stay!
Pros: The Artist's Loft/Gallery is a great place to visit with friends. Very comfortable and nice, and Nicole is helpful and friendly. It's easy to go to the downtown area.
Con: One of the 3 bedrooms is noisy, which was not a problem for me, but could be for other people.
When a trip got changed last minute, and our hotel couldn't accommodate, I was so grateful for the change of plans as it led us to Nicole's wonderful loft. The three bedrooms were lovely and decked out in the coolest art and colorful decor. It was just one night, but Nicole made the space so enjoyable. She also accommodated our uncertain checkin time as we were navigating unfamiliar land! Hope we can stay there on our next trip to CHI!
Nicole was a great host. Three of us stayed for 2 nights and were very comfortable. The neighborhood is fantastic. Great cultural mx, new bars, easy to get to the pink line.
We had a group of friends from around the country meet up in Chicago and this was a good location for two couples and a friend. The loft area is nice and private. I slept in the middle room and the bed was very comfy. Nicole is very informative and the bathroom is stocked with items you may have forgotten like tooth brushes and toothpaste. We enjoyed good Mexican food in the neighborhood. Overall it was very nice. Thanks Nicole!
Nicole is a wonderful host. Very caring. Fast response to all of our inquieries. She proposed us good place to eat and go out!
This beautiful artist loft is very clean and super comfy.
