The apartment was ideally located for access to the Palais and centre of Cannes. The facilities in the apartment were perfectly adequate for my 3 day visit. Although I ate out, the kitchen facilities seemed very good.
I was disappointed that there was a separate cleaning charge of £26 on top of the rental fee. I think Airbnb should insist that all charges be included in the rental price.
It was a great studio, so clean and with the most powerful shower I have ever used! I would definitively recommend and stay again, its about a 10 minute walk from the crossette and there are good food shops nearbye.
The reservation was canceled 66 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
My stay at this apartment was not a good experience. I encountered the following problems:
1-The key to the front door got permanently jammed in the main lock as soon as I arrived at the apartment. The issue remained unresolved for 2 days until the hosts returned from vacation. Hosts finally replaced the lock but the new one was also faulty.
For the entirety of my stay I had to use a small secondary lock, locking from inside as I left the apartment.
The hosts knew about the lock problem before I arrived, and should have had it changed before another guest entered the apartment.
2-Neither of the balcony doors locked and I was unable to close them properly.
(The combination of these two inadequacies left me feeling unable to leave any valuables in the apartment whilst I was out)
3-The flat was above a main 4-lane street; the doors not closing properly & a lack of double glazing meant sleeping past 6am, once traffic had begun became very difficult.
4-There was a small beetle infestation which I noticed in the kitchen upon I arrived & have video documentation of.
5-I was bitten in bed the last 2 nights of my stay; these bites were similar to bed bug bites (red and very itchy) but may have been caused by the beetle-like insects described above.
6-The toilet stopped flushing after the 2nd day (Spend a day having to go to a cafe down the street to use the toilet). I later found out how to get it working but had to shake the back of the toilette to get water running into it again. Flushing remained very week.
The apartment has obviously not been tended to in a long time. The furniture is modern but grubby - the couch for instance is full of stains from spilt drinks, etc. Looks good o photos but is very tired close up.
We had a late arrival and Liliana was there to meet us at the apartment and give us general information. The location was very close to the busy streets of Cannes and very convenient (about a 15 minute walk to the beach and train station). Lots of shops, bakeries and restaurants around you as well. There were 4 of us staying here and it was enough room for us. She had pots and pans available for our use as well. Overall great stay and location.
Appartement correspondant tout à fait aux (website hidden)ès bon accueil du propriétaire, ponctuel, flexible sur les horaires.
Well, it was my first time using this services, and really needed a place to stay in Cannes, I thought it was going to be harder to find Hotel near and available. I booked this apt from Friday to Monday, I was supposed to arrived at middnight but the train was stuck for 2 hours cause an accident on the road, so I finally got there by 2am early saturday. I pay basically for 2 days and nights. I saw it for $68 dollar and they charged me 90 Euros instead per night! including 30 Euros for cleaning. Plus the fees services. When I booked did not see the brake down details because I didn't know how to use this site, So I ended up paying $400. I didn't complain but I thought it was an unfair price, I paid over to much for an apt that doesn't have Air Conditioner, bug on the bed and a little tinny Fan with a time set to turn OFF every 2 hours. It was so HOT, I was sweating right after shower and while sleep, feels like an OVEN, you just cooking yourself in there. Then while asleep, I was getting bites by sort of insects or bug on the bed... I had bites in my arms and legs.. Huge bites and I wasn't happy about it :( every morning was a new bite, Although they put some clean sheets, the bugs ate me in my sleep. The fan, really small with Time set that turn off every 2 hours so when you sleep you can't have good night sleep, because you have to wake up every 2 H, to turn it on, so you don't sweat, I barely sleep. Its really Noisy, don't keep the balcony open at all. but if you don't want to suffocate yourself so you have not choices. If you want to save some money don't getting taxis and walk, This places is about 15 minutes walk distances from the train, other 5 to the Croisette. I found a really nice cheap hotel with A/c for half of the price they charged me. I think the Host was really nice guy, but he needs to know all this thing to make it better, you fellas deserve to know what you are paying for. Good luck. Thanks
The visitor sent us several messages the day she wanted to
arrive, indicating an arrival at 2pm then 7pm then 10pm, and
trying to bargain the price. When, fed up, we decided to stop
answering , we had been surprise to see her book it. We received
her at 1 o'clock in the morning ! So late that we normally don't
accept. The prices and conditions are well known and explained on airbnb.
There is nothing unfair on how airbnb and the owners handle the
prices. Cannes is hot in July, it's the reason why a lot of pepole comes
on the Cote d'Azur at this time of the year, air conditioning is
rare in France, some appartments have it, others no. This one
don't have and the announce don't mention air conditioning at all.
But the appartment has a fan. There have been cookroaches in the begining of july in the
building (and others in Cannes), but the appartment is always
clean and the building has been entirely disinfected since (btw
bugs don't bite). Mosquitos are common in Cannes during summer and
bites. Sorry, but it's the responsibility of the client to bring
it's repelant. The appartment is not great luxury but is big for a studio
appartment, and has a beautiful and totally functional kitchen
(owen, fridge, microwave owen, toaster, dish washing machine), so
the price is ok for it, and most visitors are happy.
Host was very responsive and helpful, and it was easy to arrange for arrival and departure. Apartment is conveniently located for those that don't mind a short walk (like me) - 15 min to the Palais des Festival and the surrounding beaches, restaurants, sights, etc. In general, a decent building in a decent part of town, but don't expect any bells or whistles - apartment is very simple (almost drab) and slightly grungy, and does not have an internet connection.
We had a pleasant stay in the apartment in Cannes. It is very convenient for the centre of the town and only a 15 minute walk to the Croisette, A good cafe very close-by, and some useful Grocery stores and a Boulangerie as well.
Thank you so much Liliana and Cristopher that you let us to stay in your studio! =) it is nice and clean and very close to centre. We realli liked!
