About this listing
I have a two story home in the historic East Nashville area. When you stay with me--you will have the ENTIRE second floor to yourself. I am only 4.5 miles from downtown Nashville, and plenty close to many more fun things as well!
I have a space available in the upstairs area of my home. It has two bedrooms that would have a shared bathroom. There is also a "living" style loft space. Linens and towel will be provided. When you book with me, you will have the ENTIRE 2nd floor to yourself. I do not book each room individually. Bedroom #1 has a FULL size bed and bedroom #2 has a QUEEN size bed. I do have a queen and twin air mattress that can be used as well. I can comfortably accommodate up to 4 people (with "real beds", but I have hosted up to 6 folks at one time utilizing the air beds). I would be happy to discuss hosting more than four people on a case by case bases. There would be an extra charge for more than 4 guest. WiFi is available. If needed you will be able to have access to the kitchen and washer/dryer. I have a nice big back yard with a patio and a hammock. I will consider pets on a case by case bases. There is off street parking for up to 3 cars. My home is located in historic East Nashville (Inglewood). My neighborhood is very quite at night and in the mornings. It is in walking distance (less than a half mile) to public transportation (buses), and only four miles from Downtown Nashville. I would love for you to visit Nashville! East Nashville has a lot of fun restaurants and bars (a few are even featured on the new show "Nashville").
I have hosted guest from over twenty states and five countries. I really love meeting new people!
There is NO SMOKING inside the house; however, feel free to smoke outside on the patio.
I am a pet owner. I have a small dog (yorkie) named Dexter. He is very well behaved and friendly! He loves meeting new people!
Kitchen (microwave, oven, stove, coffee maker, fridge, ect)
Interaction with Guests
I do live on site, but I am usually in and out all the time; however, if you need something--I am only a phone call or text away! :-)
My space is in the up and coming area of East Nashville. I absolutely love the charm and character of the historic area. I have lived in East Nashville for over 5 years--and it is a perfect fit for me! I am close enough to downtown--yet I still have a neighborhood feel!
I am about a 1/2 mile for a major bus stop; however, I do not use public transportation--so honestly I am not sure how well it works. Nashville is an extremely spread out city--so if you plan to do lots of sight seeing--I highly suggest a car!
We do have uber and lyft ride share services along with your usual taxi companies.
Other Things to Note
I live across the street from a railroad track. However, it does not run often after 6:00 PM--and I cannot even here it from inside the house (and the horn hardly ever is blown). Sometimes I even forget that it is there :-)
I am extremely laid back host! Unfortunately, to cover myself I do need to have this disclaimer on my page. Thanks for understanding.

The house is in an up and coming area, we saw a number of houses being renovated and built, as well as houses that looked brand new as we drove to the address of the "Upstairs Retreatin Chic Home". It is located just about 10 minutes from downtown Nashville. Great location from the airport and Nashville! We had 2 bedrooms which were good size and comfortable, a nice size bathroom, and a sitting area which comprised the entire 2nd floor of the house! It was clean and comfortable, and the host Ashley was very nice and very flexible! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this to anyone visiting the Nashville area!
I loved, loved, loved staying at Ashley's "Upstairs Retreat in Chic Home!" The home was impeccably decorated with beautiful furniture and decorations. Everything that was described on AirBnb was how it was in person. The bed was sooooooo comfy. Ashley has great taste and although we didn't actually get to meet face to face, she was a great host. It was my first time visiting Nashville and she had all sorts of literature and info on Nashville and where to eat and whatnot, which was super helpful. I HIGHLY recommend staying here and would stay here again in a heart beat!
The hostess was home when we arrived and she was very welcoming and told us to make ourselves at home. She seemed very laid-back, and was available if we needed anything/had questions. The description is accurate. The upstairs of her home is nicely decorated and clean. The neighborhood seems to be an "up and coming" neighborhood with a lot of remodels or new builds.
Yes, we felt very welcome. We were greeted upon arrival and given a tour and info about the area.
Our stay at Ashley's house was excellent. It was perfect for the three of us who stayed there, but it would have comfortably fit four people. The house was nicely decorated and very clean, and the beds were also very comfortable. Ashley made us feel at home, and she was very flexible and laidback. She also provided a binder full of recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area. The location was good, there are some cute local restaurants and bars in the area. It's also a quick Uber ride to Downtown, Grand Ole Opry, 12 South, and other neighborhoods. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Nashville.
Why stay in a motel when you can stay at Chic Retreat? ! Ashley was very friendly, accomidating and an easy going host! She allowed my daughter to use her washer/ dryer, recommended her favorite places to eat, and was just overall a great host #
Our stay at Ashley's place could not have been better. Everything was exactly as described - absolutely lovely and comfy rooms! Ashley helped with everything we needed and recommendations for our trip. So glad we got to meet, chat and stay at her lovely home. Will recommend her place to friends and would love to come back again!
