Relax on a peaceful mountaintop with stunning vistas. Experience off grid living in a unique three building arrangement linked by pergolas. Plenty of inspiration for your next book, painting, yoga retreat or just sit & enjoy the solitude.

The space
Wake to birdcalls instead of phone calls, take a cup of French press coffee out onto the porch, and watch the sun rise over the Catskills. Take a short walk on the cottage trails for a bit of exercise.
The tiny Main Cottage is your central living space by day, with comfortable seating and an expandable writing table. A concealed,
full-size Murphy bed easily pulls down for sleeping and folds away as needed. Bed sheets and linens are provided.
The eco-efficient kitchen has ample counter space, gas stove with oven, an ice chest, and a gravity-fed sink. It is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, French coffee press. Complimentary eggs, cereal, yogurt, hearty bread, juice, milk, coffee and tea are provided for cooking your own breakfast. Fully charged batteries, potable water and ice blocks for the cooler are provided. After three nights there may be an interruption to your space to replace batteries and fill water tanks (dependent on your usage.)
Follow the pergola path between buildings to the cheery, sky-lit bathhouse. There you'll find a hot shower, flush toilet and lighting powered by battery and gravity-fed water. Towels and soaps are provided.
Absorb the evening solitude around a fire in the outdoor barrel stove under the big starry sky. Fire wood provided.
If you are a “Tiny house” enthusiast and find off grid living attractive this is your perfect retreat.

Where you’ll be

West Fulton, New York, United States

Schoharie County is best known for its rural character, scenic vistas, and abundant farmer’s markets. But the County's real secret treasures are hidden in the hills. Take a drive off the main roads to scout out remnants of forgotten towns and farms. Tiny hamlets, rustic architecture, artists’ workshops and barns abound. And there are thirty-three thousand acres of state land for all manner of outdoor activities. See NY DEC website. A paper map is highly recommended for backroad forays.
Take a Yoga ,Pilates, or exercise class. Head to Vroman’s Nose for a short scenic hike with panoramic views of the "Bread basket of the Revolution." Shop various farm stands for fresh fruits and vegetables. Join the locals for 4th Friday festivities in Middleburgh.
