My son is now studying in another city and now his spacious and bright basement room with its own entrance and bathroom is available.
The 16 m² room has a double bed, sofa bed, desk and wardrobe. There is no kitchen, but guests have a kettle and a supply of coffee, tea and sugar.
In the large bathroom, you will find a spacious barrier-free shower area and hygiene items.

The space
Enjoy peace and quiet in one of the most picturesque corners of Hamburg - Elbvororte! The magnificent Wittenbergener Strand beach is a 20-minute bike ride away, and you can also reach the picturesque coastal neighborhood of Blankenese, where there are many pleasant cafes and shops. A 5-minute walk from the house there is a store with everything you need.

Guest access
The apartments consist of the hallway, bathroom and bedroom. They are located in the basement part of our two-story apartment, have their own entrance and are separated from the rest of the apartment by a closed door.

Parking is available free of charge on the nearby streets. In the evening, however, it is a bit tight, so it is likely that a parking space will be found 5-7 minutes' walk away. However, you can always stop briefly to unload in front of the building.

Other things to note
Smoking is allowed outdoors only. For dogs, an additional cleaning fee of €4.

Below are issues mentioned by some of our guests in feedback. We can't do anything about them or fix them completely, we can only mention them honestly so there are no nasty surprises.

An S-Bahn train passes by once every 20 minutes. Experience has shown that most guests do not mind, just as little as the somewhat noisy sewage pipes, but if you are sensitive to such a thing, we want to warn you.

We also want to point out that the place is ideal for one or two people. For three people, especially three adults, we recommend not booking our place for more than one, maximum two nights if you plan to spend a little more time in the place than is necessary for sleeping.

The property is a basement. And that means there can be spiders. We remove them regularly, but they just come back. Complaints about this are extremely rare, but if you are afraid of spiders, you may want to play it safe and look for something else.

If it rains for weeks in summer (as in July 25'), the humidity in the room increases and remains at a high level for a long time. We have now observed this, especially measured the humidity, and the result is that the humidity basically only depends on external conditions. When it is warm and humid outside, it is cool and very humid inside, not only downstairs in the basement, but also in the apartment itself. The difference, of course, is that in the accommodation there are 2-3 people in a relatively small space and that can easily add an additional 10%. In the room there is a dehumidifier that easily keeps the humidity below 60%, provided, of course, the windows are closed. We therefore recommend regular ventilation instead of constantly tilted windows and the use of the dehumidifier as needed.
