Description

The space

Spacious 2 BEDROOM-3 Bed is in SanGenJaya--an upscale, trendy neighborhood just a 10 minute stroll west of Sangenjaya Station and a 8 minute stroll from KoMazAwa OlyMpiC ParK. This LoCatioN sits where city life and lifestyle merge for many Tokyoites. The center of the city is just minutes away-5 to Shibuya and 8 to Omotesando-on one train-no transfers. It is the space and the lifestyle choices such as parks and green space make this Tokyo's most popular area for living. For travelers who want to experience a Japanese traditional Onsen/Spa--Seta Onsen is just 5 minute train ride away.
SangenJaya is one of central Tokyo coolest neighborhoods on the boundary between Meguro and Setagaya Wards in central Tokyo. It is located at the merging of two historic roadways--Route 246 and Setagaya-dori, just outside the central area of Shibuya. Historically, when traditional Japanese were coming into Tokyo from the countryside they would stop in Sangenjaya for a rest before entering the heart of the city. This is where the area got its name--Sangenjaya--"three tea houses."
Komazawa Olympic Park is a short stroll away too--this is a great park. Here will can enjoy space, sport and jogging. Its 2.2 kilometer jogging/walking/cycling course offers urbanites a welcome break from the FAST-pace of Tokyo-Life.

--Apartment Safety--
The apartment is in business/residential building with reinforced concrete and is safe from earthquakes and other disasters. Japan is extremely safe, so I can nearly guarantee you will experience no problems with safety--especially this area.

--Getting Around--
-Shibuya 5 min walk and 5 minute ride.
-Harajuku 10 min train or 15min walk (A must see for Japanese culture, alternative shopping and people. Next to Yoyogi Park)
-Shinjuku 15 min train (Busiest station in the world)
-Roppongi 20 min train (Night life near Tokyo Tower)
-Akihabara 35 min train (Electronic and Anime Central)

--Bike Rental--

Getting around

Komazawa Daigaku Arrival Day/Contact Information
Apartment guide
Whether you are traveling from inside Japan or coming from abroad--
1-Remember your destination is Komazawa Daigaku which is three stops from Shibuya
on the Denentoshi subway line―5 minutes on the train.
2-Please call me from Narita or if you are coming from Kyoto or are already in Tokyo ect call me or give me a mail to either of the following so I can go and open the space-

There are 4 options for getting to Shibuya or Omotesando
Option 1-Keisei Line
This new service is great 36 minutes to Ueno!!

Take the Keisei line from Narita to Ueno and transfer to the Ginza line that will take you
to Omotesando. At Omotesando Station get out and walk accross the platform and get on the Hanzomon Line. At Omotesando Station the Ginza Line and the Hanzomon/Denentoshi Line share the same platform--this makes it the easiest way to tranfer to the Hanzomon/Denentoshi Line-- because there are no stairs. Make sure the train is a local train 各亭-
DON'T TAKE ANY EXPRESS-ask someone-take the local train--it is only 4 stops from Omotesando Station. and it takes about 8 minutes on the train. Do not get off at Shibuya. Get off at Komazawa Daigaku station this is three stations after Shibuya.
Option 2-The Bus
If you take the Airport Bus take the one going to Shibuya. This bus drops you off at Hotels in the Shibuya area and then you can take a taxi from there. The one that drops you off at the Shibuya Excel Hotel or Cerulean is the closest. The taxi fair would be about 2000 yen--hand the taxi driver the Japanese address provided and he will find it easily. This is a good option if you have a lot of bags and do not want to go through busy stations. Also it can be a good option for going to the airport too but it is risky because it uses the highway and that gets busy in rush hour. Here is the link for the bus--

Option 3-Narita Express to Shibuya
If you have the Japan Rail Pass you should take the Narita Express to Shibuya Station.
Once you arrive at Shibuya you should decide if you want to take a taxi or take the Denentoshi subway line.
1-If you are taking a taxi go out the New South Exit―it is easiest and there are always
taxis waiting or coming there at the bottom of the escalator.
2-If you are taking the train then you have to go to the Denentoshi subway line
Option 4-Direct Taxi Service
This is a great option―there is a man named Mohinder--he has 3 vans and can take you from Narita directly to the space for 12000 yen--really good deal and hassle free! Please contact or or
There is a more commercial service as well―costs more :-( They pick you up at the airport and bring you directly to the space from both Narita or Haneda airports.

Additional Taxi Information--
1-If you are taking the Narita Express use the NEW SOUTH EXIT. The Narita Express
uses a special platform and that platform is closest to the New South Exit (also mentioned above)-This is good if you want to take a taxi directly to the space.
2-If you take the bus to Shibuya Excel or Cerulean Hotels there are many taxi's there or you can walk from there to. However, getting out of the Excel Hotel to the street is really hard because the bus platform is on the sixth floor―The Cerulean Hotel is better.
