  • What a wonderful place to stay in Austin! While we didn't have a chance to meet JoAnn (she was out of town during our visit), Kate was a friendly & gracious host (and so was Isobel, the adorable resident pup!). The morning coffee & homemade granola was a nice touch, and the house was perfect for our needs- comfortable & convenient, the bus to downtown is only 1 block away. Highly recommend.

  • Staying at JoAnn and Kate's wonderful home was great. Clean, comfortable, and cozy just as expected. They were so sweet and offered coffee and granola in the morning. Isobel is also the cutest pup around Austin. I would come back and stay with them anytime! Thanks for a great visit to Austin.

  • JoAnn and Kate were awesome hosts! First, their house smelled delicious and warm as soon as we walked in the door. Their sweet puppy Isobel (hopefully that is spelled correctly) greeted us when we came in as well and she was just the sweetest dog ever! During our stay, we needed to grab a cab to dinner, twice. JoAnn and Kate were gracious enough to drop us off when our cab failed to show up. The amenities were great as well. A comfortable bed, spacious room, plenty of hot water. Plus, our hosts were kind enough to offer granola, fruit, bread, and homemade (!!) jam in the morning. Oh! And who could forget the french pressed coffee with cinnamon? So great to wake up with! We couldn't thank them enough and definitely recommend these two wonderful ladies to anyone that is looking for a warm, comfortable place to stay in Austin.

  • I had a wonderful stay with JoAnn and Kate, and of course their dog Iso too! They were very accommodating and check-in/check-out was a breeze. Very spacious bedroom and lovely common area. Just be sure to plan for transportation while your there. Downtown is easily accessible by car, bike, or bus, but catching a cab around E. 12th & 11th street is a little difficult. Overall I couldn't have asked for a better room and more welcoming hosts!

  • The house was clean, the dog was cute and friendly and Kate was awesome!
I enjoyed our wide range of conversations of a verity of topics, breakfast was delicious and healthy, the coffee was the best.
My visit to Austin was great!
I'm visually impaired and don't drive so Austin is a great city for public transportation and walking.
So being visually impaired Kate was extremely helpful and accurate with all the information on how to get around the city. Conveying a true sincerity of concern about my mobility she gave me my space. Thank you Kate.
I definitely recommend JoAnn and Kate. I felt very welcomed and hope to see them on my next visit to Austin.

  • Joann and Kate were excellent hosts, and provided a very warm, comfortable and accommodating experience. It came with a nice private room with own bathroom, super clean and adorned with really cool art and photographs. They were more than willing to answer texts throughout the day which helped make the trip easier. In the morning, they served a simple breakfast with excellent locally grown coffee, perfect to start the day.

  • JoAnn and Kate were wonderful. Their home was extremely comfortable (the bed especially!), they were really kind and easy to talk to. It was an incredibly pleasant experience overall! Was really happy to stay there.

(They also bake really wonderful gluten free treats!)

  • Jo Ann and Kate were amazing hosts, we couldn't have stayed anywhere better, even their dog was cute. The room / house was exceptionally clean and welcoming, and in a great location with two buses within a 2 minute walking distance from the house.
The amazing duo were really accommodating, and provided fresh fruit, yoghurt and bread for breakfast alongside offering us fresh coffee and a variety of exotic teas. I highly recommend staying with Jo Ann and Kate, we couldn't have had a more amazing Austin stay.

  • JoAnn and Kate are great hosts! Their house is full of interesting art, books, photography, and food. Kate is a food blogger (check out (website hidden))- so she was cooking up some interesting gluten-free recipes, had locally sourced coffee, and they pulled in fresh food from their garden. JoAnn creates photography and video, and it was very interesting to learn more about her work. Nice people, nice home!
