My stay at Allison and Gustavo's loft was lovely! Situated pretty much as close to Playa Larga as you can live, amongst the pines and leafy bushes, this place was a perfect place to chill out. Allison & Gustavo and their family are kind, welcoming and helpful, the internet was great, the place is super well equipped, including an awesome little collection of books which I loved! So grateful for my experience here!
Allison and Gustavo are very friendly and laid back hosts. Although the cabin is very small, it is very well organized and equipped, and is located well away from the noisy part of Punta del Diablo. It is only a short walk away from the nicest beach in the area. The place comes with two friendly and well behaved cats that are always happy to pick up the scraps from the parrilla, which fits large fish or small chorizos. Make sure to bring enough mosquito repellent and some basic food supplies as the supermarkets in town are quite overpriced. All in all, we enjoyed our stay a lot and would always come back.
Estamos dispuestos a volver! Noa encanto su casa y comodidad.
This sweet, quiet, rustic loft on the edge of town and very close to beautiful beaches is ideal for a couple or single person. The walk to town is easy, and even easier to the beach. We got lucky and hit a full moon, even spotting a beautiful owl in the dunes near us. The hosts are memorably kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our time here. THANK YOU!!
Demais o lugar!! Punta é muito legal... A casinha é bem aconchegante, e num lugar tranquilo, mais afastado do agito, mas tem tudo perto e não fica longe do centro. Allison e Gustavo são muito queridos... Espero voltar.
Allison and Gustavo are two lovely people who made us feel very at home in their lovely beach loft. Being able to wake up and walk down to the beach in about 5 minutes from the loft (with the surf board they so generously lent us) was fantastic. Allison and Gustavo are really down to earth and genuinely seem to love where they live (which is understandable) and the community they live in. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed staying in their amazing beach loft!
Really nice hosts, that, in spite of changing the location of our booked cabin in the last minute (they gave us another cabin than the one we had booked), were very nice and gave great service, drove us to and from the cabin and to the bus station, provided us with lots of info about the place, etc.
The cabin was excellent, very well-equipped and cosy (not the one listed though! - it was called las casquivanas). Unfourtunately a bit further away from the beach than we expected (seemed closer to the beach on the map), but ok. Overall - totally recommendable!

We are a Canadian-Uruguayan family of four who drove our VW Westfalia all the way from Canada to Uruguay, so we know what it is like to be on the road. We are now living full-time in Punta del Diablo and our two boys spend much of their time surfing. We have boards available for anyone who wants to give it a try! We are looking forward to the opportunity to host travellers as they embark on the journey of discovering Uruguay's Atlantic coastline.
