Continuing your walk through the sightseeing area a few minutes (20 min in all), you'll be at the center point of the city, between Marimekko and the leading Department Store Stockmann.
The No. 4 tram is a frequent and easy way to reach the centre.

- Tram No 4 (intervals 6 - 12 minutes)
- Grocery store, open daily until 11 pm (7-23, su 10-23)

Guest Access

You will have the entire flat for your private use.
Consideration in regard to the neighbous is though required.

Interaction with Guests

I will meet you personally when you arrive (or my co-host and husband Kaj) to give you the keys and some useful operational tips as well as to answer your questions. I will be availabe to help you throughout your stay by e-mail via Airbnb and, pretty much, my husband and co-host Kaj and/or I will also be personally present next door.

The Neighborhood

Lovely waterfront strolls all around this peninsula with many sites to see especially on the north route; carpet washing station in the sea, Ice Breaker Home harbour, The Ministry of a Foreign Affaire's, school, sea side park, tiny local restaurants, the largest Finnish Art Deco architecture area.
Leaving the area you will find yourself in the historical centre of Helsinki.

Getting Around

This flat has a great tram line close available and the city has an overall marwellous and safe public transportation.
I cannot yet recommend, though, the recently opened train connection between the AirPort and Central Station - the Bus Ride is faster - because you'll need to take a shuttle bus between train and AirPort Terminal or walk 850 meters, and the train will also have frequent local stops along the route.

Other Things to Note

The Moomin Troll´s creator lived here in Katajanokka and the park below the cathedral is named after her: Tove Jansson´s Park

My guideline in hosting is to offer such an accommodation that I myself would like to find, a second home, equipped also with the smallest basic necessities like tape, safety pins, adapter, parking clock and of course: wonderfully clean space. If you find a lack of something, I'd be grateful if you let me know.
