  • I stayed in Micah and Luisa's loft for a month while looking for a more permanent place to live. It was perfect. Very sunny and bright. Simple, and well furnished. It's also huge!

Micah and Luisa are super nice, friendly, and helpful. Some of the best Airbnb hosts I've had by far!

  • My girlfriend and I really enjoyed Casa Lula! Micah and Luisa were wonderful hosts who welcomed us with donuts, apples, a bottle of champagne, and a map of their favorite neighborhood spots. Great location and great hospitality through and through :)

  • I liked it so much I stayed an extra month. The loft is beautiful, sun-soaked, and appointed with almost anything you need. If it doesn't have something, in my case a rolling pin, Micah and Luisa probably have it.

Micah and Luisa are wonderful hosts. They live right next door and are easy to contact. Most of all they are genuine, hard working and honest.

I was worried about the location in Greenpoint because, not being familiar with the area, it seemed remote. Actually, it is a vibrant community, there is a grocery a block and a half away, a bakery next door, a park a block away...in a word great. I walked to the Nassau G subway stop in 6 minutes. I walked to the Bedford L stop in Williamsberg in 13 minutes. I biked to the Williamsberg Smorgasberg (not to be missed) in 5 minutes. Prospect Part is an easy 30 minutes bike ride. The Bedford L stop is a mecca. There are hundreds of bike chained up there so biking and going into Manhattan is rote. Greenpoint itself sports some interesting restaurants and bars.

Everyone in the building was very friendly. Overall an extremely positive experience and one I may come back for more of.

(and so is their apartment ! :) )

  • Staying here was fantastic. The space is amazing and with really nice furniture and decor. The view of Manhattan from the roof really takes your breath away! Micah was great host, he had made us and map of the area with recommended places to eat/drink and shop and we arrived to a freshly baked sourdough which was a lovely touch. And he was also on hand if we needed anything or had any problems. The area was perfect for us, close enough to the main Williamburg streets that we could walk there but just out of it so you could get away from the crowds of cool people when necessary :) The G Line subway stop that is closest is very slow but we didn't mind walking to the L Line 10mins away when we wanted to get into Manhattan and for some areas the G line was useful. The building is host to a lot of businesses and artist studios that only adds to the buzzy creative vibe but I would say that because of this there is the odd bit of noise at night that didn't bother us but might others. Over all I would highly recommend staying here, we didn't want to leave.

  • Greenpoint is a wonderful place to stay. It's peaceful but if you are looking for fun restaurants and nightlife it is all nearby.
Micah and Luisa were really great. The place has great light and the views of the city are amazing! I loved going out onto the roof and taking in the city.

  • My husband and I stayed for two and a half months in Casa Lula in Greenpoint (Brooklyn).

The place is wonderful and we enjoyed especially the big terrace from where you have a wonderful overlook over Greenpoint and New York. The neighborhood is great too. Greenpoint is a very interesting part of Brooklyn. It is safe and quiet but lively as well. You will find a lot of good restaurants (especially polish ones) and grocery stores.

Luisa and Micah a great hosts! They welcomed us very warmly and prepared everything so we could enjoy a perfect stay in Casa Lula. They provided us with loads of useful information for cheap and easy things to see, do and eat in the surrounding areas. There are always available in case you have a question and you can rely on them. There are wonderful people and we hope to stay in touch!

  • The views are amazing! The apartment is beautiful, clean and comfortable. The location is great, we could walk to so many shops and restaurants we wanted to visit. Parking was never a problem. The neighborhood felt safe. Micah and Luisa were wonderful hosts. They were always timely with responses. Micah checked us in, was available and helpful while we were there. They helped make our stay in Brooklyn an even better experience.

About
Mexico City is a wondrous and surreal place. It is a miracle it thrives onward each and every day. How? It is beyond human explanation how this place works; but somehow it finds an unexpected yet organic way of working on it's own. Living in DF is a compelling experience that is sure to crack your mind open in unforeseen ways. People are warm and hospitable, food is delicious, smells are intense, sights are radical, typical sounds abound, there is always something crazy going on and yet on Sundays you'd think it was a ghost town as it stands still. Our listings offer short term room rentals for 3-9 months in two private fully furbished homes in DF's treasured pedestrian neighborhood La Condesa. For nine years people from all over the world have stayed in the homes creating lasting friendships with fellow house mates and getting the chance to experience DF as a local. Ideal for those independent folks that want to live under the extraordinary ordinariness of living in a plain old house. When you stay at our listings you are supporting and enabling the work of Mexican female artists.
