Helen was a lovely host and the room looks as amazing as in her photos! The house has an amazing view looking out over the harbour in Cobh, unbelievably beautiful!! Highly recommended to anyone!
Helen is so kind, welcoming and generous, we had a fantastic stay! The house is lovely, super clean and very well decorated. The room we stayed in is huge, very comfortable and has a nice view on the harbour. Helen had breakfast ready for us every morning, which was very sweet and more than we expected. Cobh itself is cute and quite - the cathedral is stunning.
We had a lovely few days in Helen's beautiful house. Helen's house is obviously loved and cared for very much. The master bedroom was so comfortable with amazing views right out to sea. We were so well looked after by our host. She gave us recommendations on where to eat, drink and visit. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. This was my first airbnb experience and I can only hope that my next will be as good :)
We actually decided to travel to Cobh upon seeing Helen's listing, so we were more than thrilled with not only Helen's FABULOUS home, but the gorgeous town itself. Helen's apartment is about a five minute walk into the heart of town, and her views of the Harbour are breathtaking! We drove there, and easily found parking. We were off site-seeing and saw very little of Helen, but when we did she was a delight. Great bed, warm shower, and hearty breakfast- we would absolutely stay with Helen again in the future, and would encourage our friends and family to do the same!
We had a wonderful accommodation in Helen's home during our vacation, which we could use as a good base for our daily trips to explore the southern and western parts of Ireland.
Helen is lovely and very hospitable and we enjoyed the stay at her home very much!
the moment we stepped into Helen's home, my friend and I immediately felt like we were about to pause. Her cute little house facing the water is an invitation to sit by the fire in a cosy armchair, read a book or look by the window to watch the boats pass by...
The town of Cogh is cute with lots of little restaurants and cafes.
We got Helen's master bedroom which was neat and offered a pretty view on the water. The bed is a little soft in the middle but the whole place is so peaceful that we had an amazing sleep followed by a delicious breakfast with fresh croissants and Irish bread.
Helen has this genuine kindness, care and generosity about her that just makes one want to be around her, and my only regret was that we only booked 1 night at her place...
Looking forward to visit Helen again next time I am in Ireland!
Great view from the master bedroom, beautiful house and a wonderful host. Helen was so open and accommodating, and we had the best time at her place. She also has a great sense of style which was apparent throughout the house. Definitely recommended!

I have a fabulous home in the heart of Cobh, which I love.
My house is right in the centre of Cobh, 5 minutes stroll to the bars, restaurants and tourist attractions.
Cobh is a great place to live and is situated on Great Island. The island is linked to the main land by a bridge and ferry, but still really close to Cork City, so it's a great base for exploring Cobh, Cork and the neighbouring Counties.
We are also really luck to have a train service in Cobh - which takes a very scenic 25 minutes to Cork City. You can also take the train to Midleton and check out the Midleton Jameson Distillery.
Cobh was once called Queenstown and was Titanic’s last port of call on the voyage to New York. Cobh has one of the largest natural harbours in the world. The cruise liners that visit Cobh, some of which are the largest in the world, pass by my windows, which is an amazing sight.
Millions of Irish emigrants departed from Queenstown between 1848 and 1950, seeking a new life in North America. Much of historic Queenstown still remains including the train station, White Star Line’s office building, and St. Colman's Cathedral. One can imagine the excitement and confusion of the passengers and crew who passed through Cobh’s harbour waters to an unknown future.
As well as being an airbnb lady, I am a qualified Nurse and Access Consciousness Bars Facilitator - which is a wonderfully relaxing treatment for bringing ease to your life, removing stumbling blocks and creating clarity - by touching 32 points on the head. I am also a Pranic Healer - which is a no touch energy treatment. Healing Packages can be arranged, if you want to address any health and well being issues in your life. Google 'Helen Geary Pranic Healer' and you will be able to check out my Pranic Healing website.
For the golfers out there, there are numerous courses within 30 minutes drive from my home. For a Customised Irish Golf Tour let me know and I will put you in touch with one of my former guests, who is now a Cobh Resident.
There are daily boat trips around the harbour and to Spike Island, which is Ireland's version of Alcatraz. The Prison served as both a Military and Civilian prison over the years.
Sea Angling Charters also operate from Cobh and across the harbour near the harbour mouth lies the village of Crosshaven, which boasts the oldest Yacht Club in the world.
You will have a very warm welcome and will be encouraged to treat my home as your home while you're here in Cobh.
My house is referred to by many as 'The House of Calm'. So if you want a calm, gentle environment and you are happy to come and go as you please, this is the place for you.
