We had a lovely few days in Helen's beautiful house. Helen's house is obviously loved and cared for very much. The master bedroom was so comfortable with amazing views right out to sea. We were so well looked after by our host. She gave us recommendations on where to eat, drink and visit. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. This was my first airbnb experience and I can only hope that my next will be as good :)
We actually decided to travel to Cobh upon seeing Helen's listing, so we were more than thrilled with not only Helen's FABULOUS home, but the gorgeous town itself. Helen's apartment is about a five minute walk into the heart of town, and her views of the Harbour are breathtaking! We drove there, and easily found parking. We were off site-seeing and saw very little of Helen, but when we did she was a delight. Great bed, warm shower, and hearty breakfast- we would absolutely stay with Helen again in the future, and would encourage our friends and family to do the same!
We had a wonderful accommodation in Helen's home during our vacation, which we could use as a good base for our daily trips to explore the southern and western parts of Ireland.
Helen is lovely and very hospitable and we enjoyed the stay at her home very much!
the moment we stepped into Helen's home, my friend and I immediately felt like we were about to pause. Her cute little house facing the water is an invitation to sit by the fire in a cosy armchair, read a book or look by the window to watch the boats pass by...
The town of Cogh is cute with lots of little restaurants and cafes.
We got Helen's master bedroom which was neat and offered a pretty view on the water. The bed is a little soft in the middle but the whole place is so peaceful that we had an amazing sleep followed by a delicious breakfast with fresh croissants and Irish bread.
Helen has this genuine kindness, care and generosity about her that just makes one want to be around her, and my only regret was that we only booked 1 night at her place...
Looking forward to visit Helen again next time I am in Ireland!
Great view from the master bedroom, beautiful house and a wonderful host. Helen was so open and accommodating, and we had the best time at her place. She also has a great sense of style which was apparent throughout the house. Definitely recommended!
One minute I was in my home, then next I was still home, yet I was at Helen's place! My stay was a short stay, but left a lasting impression of how time-out should be, relaxing and stress free, and that starts with where you put your head down, and Helen's home was just the right place. Clean, cosy, cute and quirky lounge overlooking the sea, complete with a blanket on th couch! Thank you Helen, you were a kind host.
We only stayed one night at Helen's but wish it could have been longer. Helen is a warm and gracious host, who is very thoughful and welcoming. Her house is beautiful, warm, clean and amazingly quiet for a town centre location. Beautiful view of the harbour in the morning! Thank you Helen.
What a gem of a place! The master bedroom was perfect for our Cobh experience. A wonderful view. Excellent furnishings. We loved this place and highly recommend it. And Helen's mom is awesome!
We stayed in Helen's top story room with a top story view of the cork harbor and Celtic Sea. Ships coming and going, waves, calming waters ALL of it part of the good experience we had staying at Helen's House. She is a pro making you feel at home, familiarizing us with what we need to know and creating an inclusive feeling immediately.
In the morning we awoke to a wonderful array of B&B goodies always with a sweet note from Helen. She is busy, but never too busy to make sure we are taken care of. The water was hot, house is clean, we slept like logs. Price is RIGHT! We made an Irish friend, and that was worth the price of admission. We will return!
This was my first ever experience of booking through airbnb. Helen gave me the warmest welcome both to her home and also to the airbnb experience! She explained how things worked within the structure of airbnb and reassured me that everything was above board. Thank you Helen for everything!
The house is beautifully presented and had so much character and charm throughout. The kitchen was packed full of food to which we could help ourselves to. The living room with the open fireplace was so cosy as we gathered around chatting with a cuppa.
We booked the Master and the double bedroom which were both on the top floor of the house which had a large bathroom adjacent to it. The bed was really comfortable and the duckdown duvets were so warm.
The house has a very calm energy and you feel very relaxed in every room. We arrived at nighttime when it was dark outside so nothing prepared us for the stunning views across the sea when we looked out the window in the morning!
Helen, thanks again for the warmest welcome. I wish you all the best and i'm sure our paths will cross again.
