We felt very welkom and where suprised by the hospitality. Fresh bread, milk and butter and flowers in the kitchen. Perfect.
We enjoyed the beautiful villages in the neighbourhood and the view from your livingroom and master bedroom window on the first and second floor.
We loved Helens place on the Harbour! It was very cozy with wonderful touches of art all around that made it so unique. Her dad greeted us and was extremely nice. Helen just wanted us to make ourselves at home. I took a bath in the nice big tub for all three nights and I may have had a few candles lit In the tub! We really got to relax in her house and even had a fire. And Helen was very easy to communicate with to. You are just a short walk to everything..and it is nice and quiet when you sleep. Love the town of Cobh. So worth staying.
Our family of four adults thoroughly enjoyed our three night stay at Helen's house, which was everything as advertised on her site. It was a perfect base for enjoying Cobh and Cork, and provided a cozy refuge after a wet day touring the Ring of Kerry. We highly recommend it to all.
Helen's house was a true home away from home. A well thought out kitchen was fully stocked, making it easy to prepare meals. Spacious yet cozy, the light-filled house has beautiful, unobstructed views of Cork Harbour and is an easy walk to everything Cobh has to offer. With the train station only ten or fifteen minutes walk from the house, Cork is easily accessible as well. Helen is fantastic with her communication, very quick to reply to any questions.
Myself and friends thoroughly enjoyed our weekend break in Helen's beautiful and comfortable home. The house is full of character and charm, it was perfectly located to explore the surroundings of east Cork and Cobh itself. Helen was a delight to deal with. Karen
Helen was a wonderful host and the house and town are great .
Plenty of good music in the pubs, good food
We have spent 3 days at this lovely house. Helen is a very nice and friendly person and also very flexible. The price is quite high and that we couldn't use the laundry was a bit surprising. After a long travel that would help. All in all we would recommend this house.

About the Host, Helen
I have a fabulous home in the heart of Cobh, which I love.
My house 5 minutes stroll to the bars, restaurants and tourist attractions.
Cobh is a great place to live and is situated on the Great Island. The island is linked to the main land by a bridge and ferry, but still really close to Cork City, so it's a great base for exploring Cobh, Cork and the neighbouring Counties.
We are also really lucky to have a train service in Cobh - which takes a very scenic 25 minutes to Cork City. You can also take the train to Midleton and check out the Midleton Jameson Distillery.
Cobh was once called Queenstown and was Titanic’s last port of call on the voyage to New York. Cobh has one of the largest natural harbours in the world. The cruise liners that visit Cobh, some of which are the largest in the world, pass by my windows, which is an amazing sight.
Millions of Irish emigrants departed from Queenstown between 1848 and 1950, seeking a new life in North America. Much of historic Queenstown still remains including the train station, White Star Line’s office building, and St. Colman's Cathedral. One can imagine the excitement and confusion of the passengers and crew who passed through Cobh’s harbour waters to an unknown future.
As well as being an airbnb lady, I am a qualified Nurse and Access Consciousness Bars Facilitator - which is a wonderfully relaxing treatment for bringing ease to your life, removing stumbling blocks and creating clarity - by touching 32 points on the head. I am also a Pranic Healer - which is a no touch energy treatment. Healing Packages can be arranged, if you want to address any health and well being issues in your life. Google 'Helen Geary Pranic Healer' and you will be able to check out my Pranic Healing website.
For the golfers out there, there are numerous courses within 30 minutes drive from my home. For a Customised Irish Golf Tour let me know and I will put you in touch with one of my former guests, who is now a Cobh Resident.
There are daily boat trips around the harbour and to Spike Island, which is Ireland's version of Alcatraz. The Prison served as both a Military and Civilian prison over the years.
Sea Angling Charters also operate from Cobh and across the harbour near the harbour mouth lies the village of Crosshaven, which boasts the oldest Yacht Club in the world.
You will have a very warm welcome and will be encouraged to treat my home as your home while you're here in Cobh.
My house is referred to by many as 'The House of Calm'. So if you want a calm, gentle environment and you are happy to come and go as you please, this is the place for you.
