It was my first experience of using Airbnb and it was excellent! Mike And Nic are very welcoming, responsible and unobtrusive. Their studio is a real masterpiece, located in a unique old house, very clean, spacious, cozy, comfortable and atmospherical, equipped with everything we needed (including cooking stuff, bed sheets and towels as well as great collection of SF maps and guides). The neighborhood is very nice, quiet and safe, there are excellent cafes, shops and several bus stops within a walking distance. We enjoyed our staying and hope for coming back!
This was my second time staying at the studio, I'm sure it won't be the last. I drive into SF for short work trips, so the combination of easy parking just outside, great price, and full amenities works out great for me.
There are a number of nice places to eat in the neighborhood, if you're up to a 15 minute walk that is!
Mike and Nic's Airbnb was ADORABLE!! From the minute we walked in we felt like we were in a tranquil, vacation environment. The decor is inviting, the furniture and bed were very comfortable, and the studio was stocked with everything one would need while staying there. The studio is at the top of a hill in Bernal Heights and parking is available off and on directly out front, and always available just around the corner. Rare for SF. We stayed for 5 days and would have loved to have stayed for even longer. Mike and Nic made check-in and check-out very easy. They were out of town when we checked in but sent us a message as to where the keys would be. Nice and easy. When we checked out, Mike came to the studio to get the keys and shared stories about the space and their work. He is a kind soul. Truly my favorite place I have stayed in SF. I would recommend this cozy spot to everyone.
We totally enjoyed our stay here. The studio was very quaint and elegant. The neighborhood was very unique with so many wonderful small business and shops on Cortland. And who knew that we would have some of the best views of San Francisco from Mount Burnel just a few blocks from the apartment! This was just a very unique way to experience the city! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to get steeped in the experience of what the city is really all about.
We enjoyed our stay with Mike and Nic. Everything was as described and the studio was large and comfortable. Checkin and checkout was simple and easy whilst Mike was always available for any matter. Wifi was excellent and the large desk very useful. The bed was very comfortable and the kitchenette serviceable. Bernal Heights is a very nice area, with restaurants and a supermarket, with easy access to the city. The 24 bus to Castro should be a tourist treasure! This is an excellent Airbnb property.
