Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • I stayed at David's place for 3 nights last week while back in Somerville briefly. David is a great and sociable host, fun to have a conversation with but will also leave you be if you wish. I was a little slow checking out on the last day [I had a lot of stuff] - and he was super accommodating about it, even helping me with my bags. The room is comfortable and well-furnished, with a big wardrobe and dresser, a desk where I was able to work, and fast internet. The room has a nice view and I was literally able to see stars as I was walking up the big back wood stairs [the apartment is on the top floor]. Overall my experience here was chilled out and peaceful, exactly what I needed! Thanks David for hosting me, and best of luck in the future with your programming work!

  • David is a good guy and a good talker.
His apartment's located on the top floor, so you'll need to climb a few flights of stairs to get there. The stairs easily freeze during the winter so be careful!!!!!!!! The kitchen and the bathroom were not that clean. There is only one bathroom shared among the three rooms, but you can organize your turns.
Overall it was not bad, I recommend it to all easy-going people that have a limited budget!
    Thanks David

  • David's place is really close to the station, which was really convenient (especially in the polar vortex cold). His apartment's located on the top floor, so you'll need to climb a few flights of stairs to get there. We had small luggages so it was a pretty decent walk up.

The room was comfy, provided with sufficient blankets, hangers in the wardrobe, but just one towel. The walls were really thin though, so we could hear everything from the other room! If you need absolute silence when sleeping, you can use the earplugs that David provides. There is only one bathroom shared among the three rooms, but it was fine for us when we were there.

Overall, it was a pretty good stay. Thanks for hosting us!

  • David is a helpful host. He shows us places to visit. His house is close to places that I plan to visit as well. I had a great new year in Boston.

  • This is really fast to get downtown or to Harvard. The neighbourhood is really nice and quiet. Nevertheless we were 2 and we had to pay a bit more for an extra person even if there was nothing to host the other person (no bed, no towel), so we had to share one small bed. The kitchen and the bathroom were not that clean.

    Response from David:

Aurore, sometimes guests who stay in my other room make a big mess in the bathroom/kitchen (hair, water, dishes, etc. everywhere). I'm not a 24/7 cleaning service so there's nothing I can do to tidy it up until I've got time.

  • David is really helpful and friendly. The location of the place is easily accessible. The place is really cosy but is a little dirty and run down. But it's still pretty good value for money.

  • Upon arrival at David's house. I first met him. He is very friendly and grest host. I was staying in the private room two days and it was clean and very comfortable bed. Considering the location and the price, I would recommend the place to anyone.

  • David's appartment is very well situed, it's very convenient to go anywhere. David is very nice and answers all the questions you ask about the city and he gave me some tips to go to museum for free. The room is exactly the same than on the picture, lots of place to tidy ups your things.

  • David was a very friendly and welcoming host, and was always willing to help when needed. The room is pretty much exactly as it looks in the photos, and as described. I had no problems with the Wifi. The location is great as well, truly only 10 minutes into the center of Boston as stated, and only a 6-7 minutes walk to the subway.
The only slight issue I had was that the noise insulation between the next room was bad, so I was woken up by the person next door speaking on (website hidden) etc. at ridiculous times in the morning (of course, this is not the host's fault).
Also, earplugs were provided in the room which has helpful.

Overall, definitely a good solid place to stay for a while, especially for the price.

    Thank you!
