Looking for the location close to the center of the city without having to pay exuberant fees? Need to get to the center of Boston, fast?
Come enjoy your private room with internet (wi-fi or cable), big screen cable TV, and air conditioner. A comfortable bed and desk for study.
The rest of the apartment has a kitchen with everything else you need - a washer and dryer, personal storage areas, refrigerator, gas stove and oven, and fresh towels and linens are provided to every guest.
The complex is shared by two professional males, who mostly keep to themselves but also enjoy good company. We keep the apartment clean, and would appreciate if you do the same.
This location is minutes from the T (Boston's subway), and less than 30 seconds to a bus stop that will take you to Harvard, Central Square, or MIT. There is one off-street parking spot for those who need. Please inquire if you desire.
Also, there are plenty of cheap eats and restaurants nearby.
David is a good guy and a good talker.
His apartment's located on the top floor, so you'll need to climb a few flights of stairs to get there. The stairs easily freeze during the winter so be careful!!!!!!!! The kitchen and the bathroom were not that clean. There is only one bathroom shared among the three rooms, but you can organize your turns.
Overall it was not bad, I recommend it to all easy-going people that have a limited budget!
The reservation was canceled 21 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
David's place is really close to the station, which was really convenient (especially in the polar vortex cold). His apartment's located on the top floor, so you'll need to climb a few flights of stairs to get there. We had small luggages so it was a pretty decent walk up.
The room was comfy, provided with sufficient blankets, hangers in the wardrobe, but just one towel. The walls were really thin though, so we could hear everything from the other room! If you need absolute silence when sleeping, you can use the earplugs that David provides. There is only one bathroom shared among the three rooms, but it was fine for us when we were there.
Overall, it was a pretty good stay. Thanks for hosting us!
David is a helpful host. He shows us places to visit. His house is close to places that I plan to visit as well. I had a great new year in Boston.
This is really fast to get downtown or to Harvard. The neighbourhood is really nice and quiet. Nevertheless we were 2 and we had to pay a bit more for an extra person even if there was nothing to host the other person (no bed, no towel), so we had to share one small bed. The kitchen and the bathroom were not that clean.
David is really helpful and friendly. The location of the place is easily accessible. The place is really cosy but is a little dirty and run down. But it's still pretty good value for money.
Upon arrival at David's house. I first met him. He is very friendly and grest host. I was staying in the private room two days and it was clean and very comfortable bed. Considering the location and the price, I would recommend the place to anyone.
David's appartment is very well situed, it's very convenient to go anywhere. David is very nice and answers all the questions you ask about the city and he gave me some tips to go to museum for free. The room is exactly the same than on the picture, lots of place to tidy ups your things.
David was a very friendly and welcoming host, and was always willing to help when needed. The room is pretty much exactly as it looks in the photos, and as described. I had no problems with the Wifi. The location is great as well, truly only 10 minutes into the center of Boston as stated, and only a 6-7 minutes walk to the subway.
The only slight issue I had was that the noise insulation between the next room was bad, so I was woken up by the person next door speaking on (website hidden) etc. at ridiculous times in the morning (of course, this is not the host's fault).
Also, earplugs were provided in the room which has helpful.
Overall, definitely a good solid place to stay for a while, especially for the price.
I was my first time in Boston.
I stayed at David's house searching for a long term place, so it had everything I needed. It is close to CT2 bus directly to MIT and also about 7min to Sullivan Sq. train station which is convenient for coming back at night.
David is a nice and warm guy. We did not meet that much though because I was mostly out seeing houses or at lab working.
The neighborhood was not that great, and honestly I didn't spend a lot of time there to see if there are nice places like coffee shops or so. I was fine in the mornings that I used to leave the house, but nights was a bit too dark for (!). I don't know if it is because it's my first time in Boston or others may have the same experience :)
But overall, it worth the money!
