Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • The Casita was beautiful, and Beth is an excellent host! The place is exactly as it is advertised--beautiful, clean, and cute. Beth was extremely organized and helpful. She made sure that we had plenty of drinking water. Beth even gave me and my girlfriend a ride to the bus stop when we checked out!

The pool was a great benefit. The only potential downside to be aware of is the fairly steep climb to the Villa. It was not at all an issue for us, but it could be challenging for less mobile travelers.

  • Lauren and I had a wonderful time at Beth's Casita in Sayulita. The place was a clean, simple oasis for us when we came back from day trips to the town and beach. Beth was there when we arrived to welcome us and checked in over the course of the week to make sure we had everything we needed. The view from the pool was fantastic (as was the pool!), and having Ruby the house dog pop down to say hi was a nice little bonus!

If you're looking for a simple place to stay at a great price, give Beth's Casita a shot. Know that you'll share the pool area with guests from the floor above, but our neighbors were wonderful and nice.

    Can't wait to come back!

  • Beth has a very nice unit in Sayulita. The view is amazing. The amenities in the room are good, and the pool is nice. There are a lot of positives.

But there are some issues with this unit and location. If you dont mind heat then this is a great area. But its VERY hot (and its not even the hottest part of the year yet) yet our room has no air conditioning. That alone means I would not stay here again. It has ceiling fans but they swirl the heat around; what it really needs a fan setup so any cooling outside can be brought into the room.

There are a lot of bugs but that goes with the area. The town is fun and beach is good, but its quite a hike up a steep hill to get to the unit. We did not mind it, but we did not go out at night because of this.

The view is great, and we had a thunderstrom one night that was amazing. So this is a great unit if you dont mind the heat.

  • I stayed at Beth's 1 bedroom casita at Villa Casa Terramar and I couldn't have been more pleased. It's perfect if you're a lone traveller like me. Although the space is more like a studio, it is spacious with a queen bed, a day bed, kitchen with all amenities you'd need for cooking if that's what you're into. The place was clean. It has a pool that you share with other tenants (Beth also has a 2 bed/bath unit in the same villa) but since I was the only one there, I had the pool all to myself.

Beth was a great host, and though I didn't get to have much interaction with her because she was in Mexico City for half of the time, she was very accommodating.

Definitely would stay here again if I head down to Sayulita.

  • This was pretty much exactly the authentic Mexican tropical villa I had been imagining for years. Actually, everything about Casa Villa Terramar exceeded expectations. It's not a matter of IF I'd come back, but when and how often. Beth was the most excellent of hosts and had pretty much thought of every detail. I'm having serious withdrawls and I've only been home 1 day.

  • My friend and I went to Sayulita for a 10 day vacation and could not have imagined how great Beth's apartment would be. It was clean, extremely well decorated, comfy and Beth and her lovely dog Ruby were fantastic. We are planning to go back asap! The pool on the property is also extremely nice. We felt very well taken care of and look forward to next time! Thanks Beth (and Ruby of course)!!!!!!!

  • Casa Terramar was the perfect place for my solo vacation in Sayultia. First, Beth was very responsive to my inquiry and emails. She was very personable and after a few exchanges it felt like we were old friends. Hence, when I arrived at the Casita, it felt like I was visiting a friend's home.

Be prepared though that it is on top of a hill - the best homes in Sayulita are. The first part of the hill is unpaved but the second part is cobblestone pavement. You have to be a decent walker to make the trek. Along the way, you pass by "locals" which gives you a glimpse of everyday life in Mexico. A real treat to see families doing everyday things and their animals - dogs, chickens, ducks, and horses.

The actual accommodations were superb. The whole property is immaculate and right out of a travel magazine. I entered through a gate next to the sparkling deep blue pool. On the other side of the pool was my Casita, with its own outdoor seating area overlooking the pool.

The Casita was perfect - four poster wooden bed, daybed/couch, lots of pillows, desk, and small kitchen with pots, pans dishes and everything anyone would need to prepare a meal.

The ceiling fans made it comfortable, even in the heat of summer. Everyone has their own level of comfort when it comes to temperature - it was just right for me, but then again I like it warm.

There were two really excellent restaurants within two and three blocks of the Casita - Purillo's Mariscos and Tacos on the Street. I went to both places repeatedly and found the quality and prices better than anything in the main town area or beach. There are also a number of small stores, pharmacy, and other services nearby. The beach and town plaza were less than a ten minute walk away.

What I really loved was Ruby, Beth's dog, who came to greet me every morning while she inspected my room. Also, the WiFi was reliable and I always had a strong signal. As a solo traveler, it made a huge difference when I wanted to watch Netflix movies in the evening or post photos on (website hidden).

The Casita and surrounding area are very safe for anyone traveling in Sayulita. Casa Terramar and the actual Casita have iron gates. Plus, Ruby was an excellent guard dog and barked at anyone who came by.

I would highly recommend Casa Terramar to anyone wanting to visit Sayulita. I plan on coming back again and again.

  • Beth's casita is an amazing place to stay! We were there for 7 days and everything was wonderful. Beth was a gracious and friendly host and the apartment was spacious, clean and very charming. The kitchen was plenty big to make meals and we slept 3 people to the casitia comfortably. The outdoor pool area was fantastic and was great to cool off in on the hot days and nights. Beth provides beach towels, umbrellas and beach chairs which was a really nice amenity. There is outdoor seating and beautiful landscaping to enjoy. The house is up on a little hill very close to town but far enough away that it isn't noisy. Beth is super friendly and always responds promptly to emails. We had a great trip to Sayulita and loved staying at Villa Casa Terrmar. We look forward to staying there again in the future!
