Thonglor is the meeting ground for Bangkokg’s young, urban and chic types. It has a fascinating lineup of outdoor boutique malls as well as concept restaurants and bars. But the real action begins after sundown, as the hip and well-to-do crowd descends on Thonglor for a fun and intoxicating night out.
Padi Madi Guest house was very nice to wait up very late to check us in when we spent 2 nights with them. The room was clean and comfortable enough for our busy day in Bangkok. Perfect for a our short stay. It is located in a great area, with easy access to subway, grocery and fruit stands, and restaurants and bars.
Nice and friendly guesthouese in a well located area near the subway station and a great food marked!
Great place ... very well located .., i had a lovely time ...i enjoyed the tv with all the channels when i was hangover ;) .... not noisy at all and also i had appreciate a very good bed: after a flight of 18 hours you appreciate it ! ... in few words , a nice hotel worth every bath ..

Padi Madi is ideally located, as you can jump on the skytrain to anywhere. The front desk and cleaning staff were all lovely and helpful but the quality of my particular room wasn't anything near what was portrayed on the website. There were some ants in the room, it smelled like smoke, the ceiling of the bathroom was really rough looking and the room was generally dingey looking. It was loud but if you are like me and used to the sounds of living in a city, it is more of a comfort than a problem.
I think this is a matter of you get what you pay for. To have a private room, with a private bathroom in the centre of BKK for 20 or so Euros, you can't expect a 4 star experience. I would encourage the Padi Madi group to spruce up some of the rooms though. In the end the stay was comfortable.
It's kinda loud but to be expected when you're 10 seconds away from the main BTS Line in BKK and the street underneath it. Nice room had all we needed and coffee in the room was nice. Great Cable TV selections.
My husband and I unfortunately were very disappointed with our accomodation at Padi Madi. Pimmy and Frederic seemed like friendly people the one time we met them on the night of our check-in, but the room looked nothing like the pictures on this website.
We had to walk up about 4-5 flights of stairs to get there and then through a very narrow, stuffy corridor to get to our room. The room was tiny and dingy, and the bathroom was extremely small and cramped as well- with none of the style and colour portrayed by the pictures. The bathroom also had an opaque glass door which offered the bathroom user no privacy whatsoever.
The only saving graces of the room was that it was clean; the bed was comfortable; and the airconditioning worked.
If you'd like to stay there, do not use the picture as a guide. It is totally misleading.
