Katy called us several hours before our check-in time to let us know we were welcome into the house whenever we were ready. That may seem like a small thing, but it gave us a 6-hour advance on our vacation - a happy event! This was only the first of many pleasures we had in staying at this sweet bungalow on Seeley Lake.
Even though our visit was in August, we still got a chance to use the potbellied fireplace (whazzup Montana??) which was great. This of course led to Trivial Pursuit courtesy of the house and vodka shots courtesy of the smallest liquor store I've EVER SEEN on the main road in Seeley. So cute, so cute.
AirBnB has word limits so...
- comfortable beds
- lovely decks
- hot water that kicks on fast
- full kitchen
- walk to town (approx 2 miles)
I recommend this house wholeheartedly and hope that we can make it back here again!
We had a nice quiet fathers day weekend here. We were pretty comfortable and everything worked well. We used the wood stove and fire pit with no problems. There was plenty of wood. Thank you very much
Angela, I'm sorry your family had some concerns with the house and the bedding, and I hope the allergies/asthma exacerbation didn't put too much of a damper on your vacation. We will consider changing our policy on requesting guests gather their bedding, etc before checking-out. Initially we decided to do this to help with a quick turn-around when groups are checking-out and arriving on the same day.
The well water can have an amber color when it first runs, but is safe to drink. We will make a point of communicating this better in our welcome book.
About the Host, Katy & Leif
We started using AirBnB to rent our home in Montana and have been using it almost every time we travel for the last 3 years. We love to explore new places by walking/biking around and trying the food!
As hosts we are fairly behind the scenes - we rent our house as an entire home and are available for questions/recommendations on the Seeley-Swan Valley for our guests.
