This is an absolutely fantastic place to stay! I would recommend it 100%. The house is located in a small, quiet and charming little village that is perfectly situated to explore this fascinating area of France. It is beautifully decorated and has an extremely well- appointed and highly functional kitchen. We cooked all our meals at home. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding and pillows felt high quality. The shower is amazing! The views out the windows are gorgeous. And to top it all off, Janis and Tom are warm, welcoming and helpful.
Janis and Tom were wonderful. They took our booking at the last minute, invited us in for a drink and made sure we were comfortable. They even recommended a local dentist for me!
Their place leaves nothing to be desired. The setting was idyllic, and the accommodations were spacious, clean and well appointed. With three bedrooms over three floors four of us were able to spread out and relax. We rode bikes straight from the lodgings to wine tasting locations, and it was also easy to see a lot of beautiful villages and countryside quickly by car. On top of that, it's an easy hop over to both Carcassone or Norbonne, both places well worth visiting. I highly recommend Janis and Tom's spot and hope I will be back there myself!
We had a wonderful stay in this delightful house in Boutenac. The area is beautiful and close to many interesting sights. We spent two days visiting Narbonne
Plage which has a fabulous beach. Janis is an excellent host and has thought of everything to make visitors feel relaxed and welcome. The house is brilliant, very spacious, spotlessly clean and exceptionally well equipped. We would love to return. Thank you Janis for your kindness and generosity.
This was our very first holiday using airbnb and maybe we have a real problem now: It was absolutely perfect so it can only get worse in future ;-)
The charming old house, situated in a lovely french village is very comfortablefully and fully equipped (there are even different types of cushions available!). With Janis and Tom being just perfect hosts and the fine october weather we had a wonderful stay down there.

About the Host, Janis
My husband and I have been enjoying the lovely village of Boutenac as a vacation spot for the past many years (since buying the house we have listed and in which you would be staying). Now that we are both retired, we also own a second house in Boutenac where we spend much of the year. Our interests are travel, meeting new people, renovation of older properties, and good food. We find the location in this area of France to be ideal for all of the above. We have three grown sons who have been coming here since the youngest was in what we Americans call Junior High. They all three love the casual simplicity, the relaxing atmosphere, the natural beauty, and the kindness of the people in Boutenac.
Come join us and discover this beautiful location.
