This apartment has a fabulous location for anyone visiting Carnegie Mellon. It is about 1 mile and is a nice walk, particularly on a spring day. The apartment is in an older building; the apartment itself is nicer than the building itself. The apartment is nice and comfortable with 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Having the extra bathroom is nice so that someone can use that bathroom while someone is taking a shower. The bathrooms are OK, but could stand some updating. The living room is comfortable with a big screen TV, the kitchen is cozy, and the bedrooms are nice. Apartment is very clean and comfortable. I was traveling with another couple on a business trip, and this was a much better arrangement than having 2 hotel rooms as we had a chance to spend time together in the evening and morning rather than meeting in hotel spaces. I recommend staying here.
This apartment is in a perfect location. I've lived in Pittsburgh before, and this apartment is in Shadyside in the heart of the East end. The apartment was clean and larger than I expected. I highly recommend.
We truly enjoyed our stay here. Very convenient location with easy access to CMU, PITT, Giant Eagle (Grocery), and 2 blocks from Walnut Street where you'll find upscale restaurants, shops, and cafes. The apartment itself is well equipped with all that we need and more. If you have a car, street parking may be a little challenging especially at night but we still managed to find a space. Will definitely be back. Thanks Debra and Jeanne for making this stay so wonderful.
The apartment is very well located in Shadyside, a superb area with a lot of trees which were just turning to their fall colors during our stay. A delight. The apartment is welcoming, comfortable and decorated with really nice art pieces. I only regretted it was a bit dark as looking to inside courtyards.
Absolutely wonderful. Even though Debra was out of town and we didn't get the chance to meet her, she was reluctant to help us with any problem we had.
The apartment was a delight: beautiful, clean, had everything we needed and even everything we needed but weren't aware of. There's a large grocery store 10 minutes from there (don't forget to take a map when you walk, Pittsburgh, apparently, is not a grid-shaped city), and 15-20 minutes from CMU, depending on how fast you walk. If I ever come back to Pittsburgh, this is where I'm staying (that is, I hope it will be available... :) )
