I was in Olympia for an extended time this summer. The month I stayed in this apartment was great. The location is perfectly situated to downtown - you can walk to the Farmer's Market and see the Capitol building from the deck. I didn't rent a car while I was here; the public bus (which is highly convenient and prompt) stops two blocks from the apartment. This summer was quite warm, but the apartment always stayed cool and comfortable. It was cozy and inviting. The bathroom is upgraded beautifully, and the bed is quite comfortable as well. Like it says in the advertisement, it doesn't have a full kitchen, but I was fine with that since I was usually out for lunch and dinner. Having a refrigerator and microwave was enough.
I would recommend anyone to stay here when in Olympia. The neighborhood is charming and walkable (I also had a bike and loved riding around the neighborhood and town). I never met Gary in person, as he was out of town some of the time, but he was always accessible by email or text. I did meet his wife, and she was lovely and accommodating.
Overall, this apartment was a quiet sanctuary when I needed it, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!
I really enjoyed my stay at Gary's. The neighborhood was great, close to downtown Oly and I5. Gary has a great backyard porch with a great view where I chilled and listened to some podcasts. It was comfortable and clean.
The apartment was very comfortable, clean, and inviting. The host was welcoming and went above and beyond by supplying yogurt, fresh fruit, a bottle of wine, and everything needed for morning coffee. The neighborhood was beautiful and safe for my morning runs. I will definitely book for my next visit!
Gary & Ruby's 1 bedroom apartment was truly a lovely place to stay. It's in a historic neighborhood that is centrally located. I was able to walk to restaurants, a small grocery and parks were near by for my evening runs. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. It was special in that the refrigerator had yogurt for each day of my stay, fresh fruit & a welcome bottle of wine of which is nice to sip in the garden. I also liked the private entrance & driveway parking. Gary was very accommodating as I had a last minute change in my schedule and shifted days of my stay. Thank you Gary & Ruby!
Gary's place was exactly as advertised, and it suited my needs perfectly. The neighborhood is beautiful with easy access to anywhere in Olympia. I arrived after a long day of driving, and the complimentary bottle of wine was very welcome. My schedule while I was there was fairly erratic, and I was in and out at odd times, so Gary and I never met in person. I'm looking forward to meeting him next time I'm in Olympia. I plan to stay at Gary's again.
This was great for our needs. Close to the i5, and the children museum. Room was easy to make toddler proof, and the small couch was big enough for my 5 year old. Fresh fruit and very good yogurt. Would stay here again.
Perfect for me. Doing a project locally. Comfortable, quiet, private and centrally located. Gary was a gracious host.
